Actually as I stated the idea of getting cash instead of an ATM can be the purchase of something you need like a pin, cookie, or burger and pay with disney dollars so that you get $4 back for your $5 disney dollar. In theory you could later return the item for cash in theory since the clerk will not have exact disney dollar change to return.Zazu wrote:True, but there aren't any locations inside the Parks that don't accept them.
We found a way to stop that at WDW. Now if someone wants to convert Disney Dollars into cash, they need to provide the receipt used when they purchased them. If it shows they were purchased with a credit card, all they can get is a credit back to the card -- no cash.
Stopped that particular brand of stupid cold!

This is even easier to do than you think. We ring D$'s as cash so according to the receipt the guest did pay in cash. This means any refunds are given in cash.mechurchlady wrote:Actually as I stated the idea of getting cash instead of an ATM can be the purchase of something you need like a pin, cookie, or burger and pay with disney dollars so that you get $4 back for your $5 disney dollar. Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.
