When we saw that trailer at Prince Caspian, my kid's comment was "What is it with Disney and DOG movies?" Made me start thinking and it was a surprisingly long list with the Bud movies and Snow dogs AND the 102 Dalmations. Definitly think we'll be skipping this one.

I think it looks really cute! I'd go to see it.

I'll wait for the DVD... but I'll probably watch it, for the same reason I watched Valiant. The animation geek in me will insist on watching simply to see how well the handled the meshing of live and 3D elements...

That IS Olive, the other reindeer. Not a chihuaha, for sure. The ears are a dead give-away.

Anyway, Disney jumped the shark years ago, but it gives on pause to think what it would be like to have some exec come in to Walter Disney's office during and pitch "Beverly Hills Chihuaha". One part of me thinks he would literally have physically kicked the guy out and the other part of me thinks "this fits right in there with those Disney made-for-TV movies starring Kurt Russell..."

Most if not all of the Disney Films that Kurt Russell starred in were theatrical releases and three (I think) of them were made when Walt was still alive.
