The guy doesn't understand or perhaps just doesn't care that those rules are meant for the safety of the guests. If everyone simply ignored the rules designed for the individual's safety, we would be in a hell of a mess.

I have seen and known people who view rules as mere advisories, which when broken without conquence, are a cause to rejoice. But what happens when someone is hirt trying to break a rule, are often the very first to sue.

Theme Park Where wrote:If you read on in the article, the Slate was quite slammed with discussion about the article. The Slate, being edgy and pretentious, wrote about how silly it was that people felt that strongly about the article to write defending Disney. The feel I got from their discussion of the discussion (now THATS confusing) was that anyone who disagreed with the article was somwhow brainwashed by Disney and proved the article's point. I love circular thinking like that!
mechurchlady wrote:the article was biased and writteng only from an anti-amusement-park way of thinking. There is informative journalism where they uncover the underside of something but this did not show facts to support his hatred for Disney.

It makes me so mad that he patronizes what we do, and what we like. I don't consider us a cult. I consider us a group of people that likes similar things. We don't force it on anyone else. It would be different if I set up a booth in the subway station and said "Hello Brother! Today I'm talking about the Disney Faith! Would you be interested in attending a timeshare presentation?"
I don't think so...
You don't like it, leave. Less people to wait behind.
I am aware that Slate is owned by The Washington Post. I think that the well known anti-Disney bias The Washington Post has shown for years is used on their site.

If it were not for this bias, there is a good chance that Judy and I would have been working at a Disney Park 22 miles from where we lived for a few years before we moved down to Florida.

Does the name "Disney's America" mean anything to anyone?

At one time the Post's Ombudsman published the statistic that The Post was publishing three anti-DA articles for every one neutral or positive. I remember one day when The Post published the same article (about 15 column inches) in two different sections with different headlines on the same day.

And what if she had fallen, been run over, and injured or killed? Would he still have smiled?

Good Lord, with 62 Disney cruises under my belt and living next door to WDW in Celebration so I can go at will, I wonder what they would call me and Mr. Syndrome!

A VERY shallow and a VERY capitalistic tool!

What about me? I work there 5 days a week and most weeks I'm there on at least one of my days off if not both.
