"Excuse me, are those ducks real?"
"Yes, sir, but the water is fake."

Oh, I don't know, I think the pirate one is kind of cute.
I think one of the worst commercials I saw featured a marble statue of a man, similar to Michaelangelo's David, and this woman arrives at the museum where the statue is, dressed in a full-length fur coat. She hurries to where the statue is, drops the fur coat, and it's implied she's wearing nothing under the coat. Then she embraces the statue, and there's a 360 degree spin, implying the woman is doing it with the statue. It ends with her standing, looking at the statue, back to us, and the name of a perfume comes up. Is that a lousy way to sell perfume, or what? Fortunately, the ad didn't run very long. What's the message--"Use our perfume and you'll enjoy the ultimate in safe sex by boinking marble artwork"?

Actually I hate that free credit report one for the fact that it implies that having your identity stolen means you have to take a stupid remedial job wearing a costume and working with tourists, which is pretty much what I do for a living thank you very much! It's bad enough that I don't get paid a lot and everyone is always complaining that I must be stupid for continuing to do a job I love even if it doesn't pay well, but to have the implication that not only am I stupid for doing it but it would be a punishment for not protecting your credit for someone to do this job is a bit insulting.

I realized the commercial you were talking about! I saw the same group doing one where he gets a really bad car, and him crew is dissed!
Clever. One of my credit cards includes a free monthly credit review, so I use that, and download the annual one from the agencies once a year!!

The "FreeCreditReport.com" guy's name is Eric Violette. He is a french/canadian actor/singer.
I like the commercials but FreeCreditReport.com has been sued by the FTC once and investigate by the state of Florida for "deceptive" practices.
Here's the guy's website (http://www.ericviolette.com), it's in french but he has all 3 freecreditreport.com commercials on it.. As well as a couple of videos in French so I couldn't tell you what they were..
Yes, I have NO life..
(PS. I used to have a Geo Metro just like the one in the commercial. Had it for 12 years.. Great little car..)
