It should be "himself".
Remember, the neuter and masculine genders in English are generally indistinguishable.

Would that have something to do with elder female librarians (of decades past), who made the rules, tended to wish all males were neuter?

Unless her name was "Marion" and was in Iowa.

Congratulations Shorty.

WDW is very fortunate you chose to be a new CM.

Wish you were at DLR! :)

Congratulations! Now you can share SG stories as well :D: !
Keep us updated on how the move is going! I'm sure we're all very anxious to hear about it and your first few days at work.
I might be very well joining you very soon. I'm looking at UCF and am liking what I see, and apparently DL to WDW transfers are completely possible...

Not that I expect the world to make sense, but why is it that some people rebel at the thought of using the masculine pronouns as referring to both sexes, but the same people (seemingly) are using masculine labels to refer to both, such as actor (instead of actress), waiter, etc.??? Just one of life's little quirks, I guess.

Congrats, Shorty! I'm sure you'll be a wonderful CM. And feel free to visit me at Port Orleans whenever you want. (I work Merchandise there).

Shorty, you should start a thread: "Journey to become a CM" or something similar, and give us all insight into your experience of becoming a full time CM!!
You could give hope and inspiration to millions!!
(well, okay, just us SGT'ers!)

Oooh, an excellent idea, Pirate! "The Idiot's Guide to Becoming a CM."
No, Shorty, I wasn't inferring that you are an idiot - quite the contrary. I'm just saying you could add to that genre by writing a step-by-step guide on what you have to go through to get a job at WDW.
Although, Big Wallaby did write a great story about his journey from Portland to Orlando to become a WDW bus driver.
Oh, and thanks Ms Matterhorn and Zazu for fixing my grammar and spelling. :)
