I read a really cool fiction short story a few years ago on the net about that and could never find it again. LOL And Donnie wonders why I have so many things bookmarked. LOL I am going to have to look for it again.

It was interesting, as they cited several different sources, including the Myan calendar, prophets, and other sources that all seem to point to the same date!!

Some scientests think it might be referring to a pole shift, Which could possibly make Denver shorefront property!!!

This short story was really interesting. Now that you mention the poles I think it had something to do with magnetical fields or something messing up pretty much anything that was electronic from computers to lights to gas pumps. I remember the main character was a young woman and her dad and how they had to syphon gas for the car out of the ground tank. (pretty much they were going as far as they could) You had the militant folk and a lot of people had died due to no more machines to help keep them alive or old ways to make medicine was lost due to technology. Sometimes I dont think that would be a bad thing...tho I would miss the internet. LOL
