Donnie uses Irish Spring and I cant breathe if he comes near me right after getting out of the shower. Worse is when I am eating and he comes and stands right next to me. Just what I want my food to have the taste of the smell of something I am allergic to.
Yes, you can still buy Lifebouy at
http://www.VermontCountryStore.com It is a really cool store that carries all your old favorites from the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's that you thought did not exist anymore. They also have a brick and mortar store in where else? Vermont! Very cool products... I have found some of my old favorite products there that brought back some great memories!
BACK ON TOPIC....Parttimelt, do NOT let them get you you down. Remember there ARE more nice guests than SGs, so you got hit with a double whammy that day. That constitutes a very bad day. I am glad you had 30 minutes to at least let it go a little. That is tough to take. :( When I worked in retail, I had soooooooooo..... many SSs (Stupid Shoppers) and I just used to get so mad. They had not one lick of sense and tried to beat the system all the time, but I needed the paycheck, so I had to eat it sometimes. You work in a far better place than I did, (a Hallmark Card Shop in a mall!

) and Disney just brings out the stupid in some people. :( Even we as guests see it on our vacations (most do not yell at them or call them names like I do :p: ) and have to deal with some of these brainless wonders. You as CMs deal with far more, because you are there more.
But keep the magic alive! Walt Disney had a wonderful vision, unfortunately he created such a great Park in Disneyland that some guests just leave their brains at home. The worst offenders are the ones you described, the entitled jags who think the rules do NOT apply to them. They are everywhere, I promise you. If you quit Disney and work someplace else, you will find them there as well. At least with Disney, you are working in one of the best places on earth, hands down. Because of that you get more of the jags there.
Grow a thick skin to those and let the really nice guests define your day and who you are as a CM.
Don't give into the dark side. You will miss Disneyland and won't have as much fun working in a cublicle or behind a cash register at a Hallmark Store in a mall. ;) Just kidding, about working in a mall, no one wants to do that anymore.
You are appreciated, everyday, by all of the great guests who outnumber the bad ones. They love you just because you get to work at Disneyland. :) And, for them, YOU are magic!!!!!
I will give you a big hug next trip. I promise we WILL come and find you. No Flu allowed next trip. We will be there at the end of the month, providing we have no disasters here. We must come! It is not officially my birthday, if we are not in DL. That COULD be a good thing. I won't turn a year older...hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, NO WAY! I have to be in DL on my b'day!
The CMs make it the most special day of all. I love my birthday in DL. Everyone is nice to me and unlike my mom, they do NOT remind me I am getting older... ;) :hysteria: The characters all give me hugs and all the CMs have a smile on their faces when they see the birthday button! It is great!
Thanks for what you do and keep making that magic. It will help you to get through the bad days, if you know that there are many of us who truly appreciate what you do and remember you for a very long time after we get home from our vacations. We remember the great CMs and how they made our vacation the best ever! Your face stays in our minds and the magic that you leave us with, helps to brighten those days when we cannot be at Disneyland or WDW!
Hugs to you Pattimelt and ALL you CMs who make the magic on a daily basis for us *civilians* Some of us even want to join Team Disney

;) you have inspired us that much! :D:
