It does mean a lot to me that I'm only one day into my campaign and I already have the support of mothers! (aside from my own...) :p:

Sorry, I should've used the 'quote' feature of the boards for that... I was referring to DisneyMom throwing her support behind my campaign early! ;) It's nice to have the support of mothers aside from my own (who always supports me because she says I'm special! :rolleyes :)

I'd like to run for King of the World, but Leonardo DiCaprio already appointed himself to that job. I guess I'll settle for collecting votes for presidential candidates for now.

Actually, in all seriousness, I'm currently trying to encourage a dialog in congress about the President screwing our troops yesterday. As a result of a "pocket veto" by the President, the annual pay raise that US soldiers receive is not going to be as great as Congress recommended. The President indicated that this is because giving that money to troops could cut into equipment budgets. The equipment he's referring to is stuff made for the government by his friends under no-bid contracts. He further added that he used this back-door tactic to curtail rampant and frivolous government spending. It's ridiculous to try to claim a moral high-ground like that when you're busy presiding over the biggest budget deficit in the history of the world and the US Dollar has become so weak it is equal to Canada's Dollar. Further, to rob the tax payers and the troops simultaneously all the while lying to them about how and why is not going to fly. The American people are too smart to go along with it. I encourage any interested party to contact your representatives in congress and tell them how you feel about it. (If anyone has any questions for me, please feel free to PM me or, if it's a question that may concern everyone, we could start a new thread in the break room, I would think...)

(Bonus points to anyone who gets the reference.)

No, he's still waiting for his son Lumpy to finish his radio made out of wood and wire... And his wife hasn't finished making the dinner she learned about while watching Harvey Korman playing an Oompa Loompa playing a four-armed purple-clad transvestite chef playing Julia Child giving cooking tips.

At Disney World and Disneyland, I don't care to see PDA beyond hand-holding from anyone, gay, straight or otherwise. In my mind, it's not the place for that except in the Wedding Pavillion (where it's invited guests and people working the event), in ones' room, or away from other guests where it's not out there for everyone to see. Shoot, if you want to do it behind some place that you find romantic, more power to you, but take it a bit off the beaten path.
You'd hate us! HusbandMan and I have made a game out of kissing in Disneyland. We don't get all sloppy and gross about it, but we kiss a LOT. I must say that one of the best parts of our Disneyland honeymoon was being surrounded by hundreds of happy couples- turns out we got married just in time for Gay Days. :)

Okay, so you were not shoving your tongues down each other's throats, and I would assume you had a frequency less than every thirty seconds. I'm fine with that.

Let me put it this way. The two guys in my previous post don't make me think of what they're going to be doing later tonight, whereas the straight couple seems like they might lose control, disrobe and get jiggy right there in line to clock out. By your actions at DLand, were you showing everyone what your plans that evening were? I don't get that feeling off the way you post. Plus, as you say, you made it a game. I'm okay with a peck or a hundred, as long as you space them out that you have a completely different group surrounding you from the first time and second time you do it, so that kids don't start asking questions. Agreed, they're going to have to learn sometime, but not at Disney parks.

Call me a prude if you like.

I'll be first...You're a prude.. But if you are a prude, then so am I. I really dislike the sucking face makeout sessions I have seen some do in queues and around the parks. And I will be the first to say that though, I do not agree with the homosexual lifestyle, it is not my place to tell someone who they can love. It is not my choice, but it is also not my place to tell them how to live. And as long as any couple is discreet in public, I am fine.

We were in line at Soarin' at WDW and there was a lesbian couple in line in front. They were stroking each other all over and kissing and I was apalled because there were families with young children there who had to have questions, but they should be addressed by the parents when they want, not because there is a gay couple slobbering all over each other. I have felt the same when I see teenagers trying to poke each other's tonsils in the Parks. Wallaby is right. I don't want to be left with an image of what you are going to be doing in the privacy of your own room. Leave me out of it. If I want to watch porn, I will rent some. ;) Not really, since I am a prude.

Okay I'll go back in my right wing, left leaning corner now. I used to be a left wing radical, then I grew up and became much more moderate and in fact, more conservative. I don't have the liberal radical ideas I used to have, but I am still somewhat liberal in my beliefs, as long as they are conservative liberal ideas! :p: LOL!
susi*ex hippy radical, now conservative democrat*slicker
