[quote="BRWombat"]Honestly, I keep the Snopes website bookmarked because I have a relative who repeatedly needs fact-checking. He'll mass-forward one of these "informative" emails, I'll reply with the Snopes article debunking it, and he'll say sorry. But then not too long later, I'll get a new mass mailing from him. &lt]
I have a mother-out-law and sister-out-law that do the same thing.

They send out a mass mailing, and I hit "REPLY TO ALL." First words I say in BIG LARGE BOLD RED letters: URBAN MYTH! Then I cut and paste most of the snopes article, and also provide the link.

Usually I don't have to talk to my mother-out-law and my sister-out-law for several days, since I guess it makes them look STOOPID. And they are college educated people too. Then again it's "I read it on the internet, so it HAS to be true!"

I love snopes

I love reading Snopes, almost as much as I love reading stupid guest tricks.

Same here. I can sit and read random articles for hours. Have you seen their "Lost Legends" (fake) page?

I love that! I went thru the same a few years ago with my home email. As an IT guy, it really frosted my poptarts to keep reading these idiotic forward that the sender obviously hadn't looked into themselves, or else they'd have known it was bogus. I'd do the same thing - Reply All, but usually skipping the person who sent it to me, then ROAST THE SENDER'S A$$ to a crispy brownness. Didn't take long to get me off'n those people's email lists!

My guess is the person is diabetic. It takes food a while to break down but soda with sugar goes right into your veins. Might as well use a syringe.
Exactly. This is why, when we get diabetes education when we're diagnosed, we're told to get a non-diet soda if we are hypo-gleicemic without glucose tablets or a piece of hard candy.
