On buses, we have these little prize packs... I traded mine in to use my backpack instead. Where other drivers get accosted to see what is inside (SG: Gimme! Gimme! Gimme), I can walk around freely and no one knows the difference, until I get on a bus and start passing out pirate bandannas.

So one night, I had a small group, I was getting ready to pass out buttons, princess rings and bandannas, when I had some SG say something (I don't remember what) and it killed the mood... especially when it got all the parents complaining about the same frivolous thing. So there I was, prizes in hand, I turned around, put them back in my bag, and drove without saying another word. Because their parents were SG's, and I figured that if I started they would probably complain about the quality of their kids' (free) bandannas (granted, they ARE cheaply made), I decided not to stick my neck out.

I'm sure someone on that bus would have been offended by the skulls on the pirate bandannas anyway.

I would in no way be offended by a pirate bandana. Especially if Johnny Depp came with it.

OT (not that it is unusual to do so around here..lol) We are doing Meghyn's b-day party PoTC themed in a few months. It is very hard to find anything related to the movie unless I shell out big bucks out here in Podunkville. I was going to buy regular bandanas and have the kids wear them instead of party hats. I wonder how much BW loves me? :D:

Problem is I cant afford anything right now, and, I am really jealous since we were supposed to be leaving Florida to come home on the 7th. Paying bills sucks.
If you can score any multiples of free pirate stuff I will be grateful. Small things for prizes and favor bags. I already have tons of stickers and tatoos. Our grocery store had a whole basket full of them so I kept going back and loaded up my purse. Hey they were free, they would toss them at some point so I did them a favor....HAHAHA!

What I would love to be able to get is enuf full size copy's of the letters of_______(assignment?) that they give out for the Capt Jack tutorial to give to each of the kids. If I cant get them I will copy the one I have but in smaller size (like 2 or 4 per page) so it is not so expensive to do. I am on a tight budget for this party, can ya tell? LOL gotta save money for Disney.

Thanks for the offer.

Wal-Mart seems to have a lot of Bandannas with skulls on them for 97 cents each....or maybe you could use fabric paint and make a stamp out of a carved potato to stamp skulls on some pieces of fabric. The foamies( colored
foam sheets and shapes )might be good to make eye patches or fake knives..
also available at Wal-Mart. I've seen a pack of the cartoon POTC paper plates and cups at Costco, but once again, you can use your trusty potato stamper to stamp skulls on tablecloth, paper cups, etc.Maybe some netting hung up with plastic beads...stuff like that! and a Treasure Hunt!
SGTers, any more ideas? :D:
