Big Wallaby wrote:Susie, that's not Bambi. Bambi was not a reindeer. And since Bambi was made, it's been what... sixty-six years... and I don't know of any deer that lives that long naturally. So Bambi is already gone of natural causes. Don't worry, Ktulu didn't do it. My bets are on Pooh.

And as far as hunting season, go for it! Just make it a clean, quick shot and only one deer that's still around today is off limits: In Pacific City, Oregon, there's a deer at the Boy Scout camp named Fred. He's a people, so you're not allowed to get him when hunting. Other than him, get a good trophy!

I'm suddenly reminded of a pastor in church who told the story of his parents getting a cow, and he wanted to name it. They suggested "Hamburger".
Hamburger! Mmmmmmmm.... :hysteria:

I was just giving everyone the business.

I agree, One clean shot, don't let the creature suffer. I am actually an advocate of what Ted Nugent does. He wastes NOTHING, and he has fed millions of people at homeless shelters and soup kitchens with meat from hunts. He is a symbol of hunting the right way. I like that he uses a bow as well. I am not a hunter and do not think I could ever kill an animal in hunting, but I understand the need to thin the herd and for ecological reasons it is neccessary. I really don't like the trophy hunters at all. That makes me ill. Go to Africa, kill a magnificent animal and bring the head home to hang in your library? GAH! That is disgusting to me.

I know Bambi is a celluloid hero! :D: I was just joshing ya'll! But Bambi is one of my all time favorite movies and I still cry when he is calling for his mother and his father comes up and tells him he can't see her anymore. Waaahhhh! Sniff! That scene does bring a lump to my throat still! Sniff! One of Disney's better films! I grew up on it. :D:

Even further OT, but does anyone recall the misguided branding effort a year or so ago with "Ol' Yeller" brand dog food? Is that stuff still around???

Woof! :dog1: Hmmmm...do not recall that....

Let's see just how far off topic we can take this....hahahaha, EVERY thread goes off topic here, it is a prerequisite for posting a new thread. You have to know that eventually someone is going to say...

If I go hunting, I'm doing it like a real man. I'll run down the deer and kill it with my bare hands...

Actually, there's no need to ever start a new thread. Just post whatever you want in an old one!!

So... does anyone think "Bee Movie" will be any good???

You know, this is so true! One long giant thread on SGT. No more new threads, easy to remember which one (the only one!) to go to to post! Hmmmm....could work. Polar, just how many posts can a thread take before it implodes!

I concur. He may be cute and cuddly, but Pooh also has a vicious side, as shown by this news photo:

So I guess Mr. Toad didn't give up his home at WDW willingly like the picture on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh implies.

Nope, I have it on good authority the photo was cropped just right to give that illusion...
