We don't do the commando route, either. Too stressful and I think you end up missing so much! We are normally mellow, go with the flow people in WDW anyway, but I remember in 2004, we went to Epcot with all the kids on a June trip (never again LOL) and we ended up not getting a whole lot of "official" attractions in that day. But we saw Off Kilter and the British Invasion, met a wonderful young woman at the Mexico pavilion, and my oldest spent like 20 minutes talking to the robot that was walking around. Now, 3-1/2 years later, that is the day they remember the best....the day we had REALLY been just slackers and wandered Epcot aimlessly. In Disney, we have 2 speeds......slow and comatose. :D: And yes, we get out of the way for the commandos.

I always plan this way: I usually pick a park per day or 2 parks, one for morning and one for evening, since we like to hop. Then I make one sit down meal ADR per day accordingly. We usually do mostly breakfast. That way if we get to MK for breakfast and it is a nuthouse, we can head elsewhere after we eat. In the last 5 years, I have had to cancel only 1 reservation. I planned our trip that starts on Monday a month ago, and was able to get in where we wanted for the most part. The only night we had trouble was for the halloween party, but we were able to get dinner at the Turf Club early...which works.

Some problems with hooking ADRs to resort reservation numbers is:
1. Resort reservations can change.....for this trip, I had a good AP rate at All Star Movies for our last four nights...however, a better deal came out and I rebooked with that and ended up with 2 reservation numbers. With DVC, I booked our first 2 nights and waitlisted the second two....again, I ended up with 2 reservation numbers. Sometimes waitlists come in months after the original booking, and they rebook the whole thing. Then people would lose their ADRs. I would have lost mine twice!
2. Locals and offsite guests would not be able to reserve at all.

I would be happy to CC guarantee all of my reservations with a 24-hour cancellation if it would help solve these problems.

We are too! In fact we've pretty much decided we are never going to 'hop' again in our lives. It's too time consuming, stressful, and you miss out on so much around you.

Our motto for our last trip was "If we miss this monorail there will be another one in five minutes". We were not going to hurry for anything. As a result, we not only had a much better time but I swear, we felt like we had actually BEEN to WDW at the end of our trip instead of merely running PAST WDW like on past trips.

We even divided up the MK into 'land' days, taking a day to do each land- then go back and see favorites extra times- and it worked well with two disabled people in our party. Really, really well.

Sometimes people forget that they're there to experience the place. That is such a shame.

Courage in your own.

I'm sick of PC. It's a cancer. Not only is it anti-american, because it forces you to self-censor yourself, but it also is cowardly, because it means you don't stand for something you believe in. I don't want to hurt people's feelings, but there is a difference between maliciously offending someone and someone being offended by...truth. If you are offended by the truth, then that's your problem. The truth is supposed to offend you, that's how you know you don't got it.

So, speak the truth, you have nothing against fat people! Unless they take the last 15 chocolate chip muffins from the breakfast buffet, then it's game on people!

I see the same crazed tourists in Hawaii. It's sunrise on Haleakala, bike down the mountain, whale watch cruise, shop for t-shirts, eat at Mama's Fish House, drive to Hana. And that's just the first day.

There's only one decision to make while you're in Hawaii; beach or pool?

What about our third choice, Hobie's place for beers.
