Actually, I had been working at Disney at the Muppets for several months before I took the character job at Sea World. The guys who played Sweetums thought it was funny that I was a puppeteer and character at Sea World instead of Disney. They created a secret signal to let me know when they were out on set in another character.

That was the signal! It was a little strange to see Jafar or Goofy clapping like a sea lion out in the park. One day I was coming out of a gate into the park and I see another cast member giggling up ahead of me. I turned around and Jafar's staff is doing a little puppet show over the fence. For the duration of the time I worked at both places, the characters and some of the other cast members at Disney called me Shamu. They'd yell "hey Shamu, how're you doin?" at me as I walked back stage. Other cast members would look at them like "man, she's gonna KILL you for calling her Shamu!" I just did the sea lion clap and that was that!

Can't help but think you're one of those people who would be fun to spend a day off in the parks with... Lil' Wallaby and I will have to do that sometime, if you're up to it...

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

This is my favorite pic of DD at WDW she is on Cinderella's Carousel. I almost didn't get the picture because the CM was telling me that we had to get off and the ride had just stopped. These kind of pictures are the ones that the SG are too stupid to take.

Your picture reminded me of my daughter's first trip to Disneyworld. She already loved carousels and had to ride the one at the mall everytime we went there. She, of course, had to ride the big carousel at Disney.

The difference was that my wife get motion sick very easily. She always loads up on Dramamine each mornign we go to the parks. Because of this, she had never ridden the carousel with our daughter.

Well our daughter was about 2 at this time and when she was riding the carousel at Disney she was looking for Mom in the crowd (because that's where she usually was). When she looked back and saw mom on the carousel with her, she kept looking out at the crowd and then back to mom, over and over. She was totally confused by the fact that mom was on the carousel with her.

Sorry for the rambling post, but that is one of my favorite Disney memories.
