Idk. If my kids were asking (and i dont have kids) I would probably say something like 'Theyre mice! You should be happy they learned to write at all!!' lol

No, Suzy and Perla are intelligent mice so they should be spelling correctly. They managed to make that pink dress for Cinderella.
