Two long time friends, Marty and Mickey, work in a brewery. One day Marty falls into a vat of beer and drowns. The plant manager asks Mickey to go to Marty’s home and inform his wife.
Mickey goes to the house and when Marty’s wife answers, he tells her Marty was killed on the job.
“How did it happen?” she asks.
“He fell into a vat of beer and drowned.” Mickey replies.
“What a horrible way to go!” exclaims the wife.
“Not really,” replied Mickey, “He got out three times to go to the bathroom.”

Sorry, this thread seems to be normal width. Widest thing here is the monorail smiley.
If you're having to scroll horizontally to read them, there's likely something odd about your system.
What resolution are you using on your monitor?

It might have been something odd with some of the threads yesterday. I had the same problem with this thread, but no others, yesterday. But the thread is fine today.

The problem is on page 1 for me and not the other pages. For some servers (whatever) the use of run on smilies, punctuation marks, diacritical marks, letters and numbers cause the page to stretch abnormally wide.

The system does not break that string so it stretches to accomodate the that string by inserting spaces. When I excessively use smilies I also include spaces.

i noticed it happening on my computer the other day too. It happened right after mon marsupial favor posted on page one, and it is still doing it on that one page but not the others
