Re: The Joys of Strollers
What is the difference between a regular AP and a Premium Stroller one?
I thought there was one kind of AP, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a premium one.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

Re: The Joys of Strollers
At DL they offer 4 different types of AP's. The bottom two levels are only for southern cali residents and have a lot of blackout dates (all holidays, most weekends in the summer and the month of july, ect). Then there is the Deluxe which has your major holidays blacked out. The premium top of the line one has no blackout dates and includes parking. All a/ps have the option to get a stroller pass (on the brochure, it says it started on 10/20/06) and it says they are limited in quantity. From the amount of strollers around the parks, I'm not sure what the limit is, lol.Shorty82 wrote:What is the difference between a regular AP and a Premium Stroller one?

Disneyland has the Premium Annual pass and for $49 a year you can add stroller rental.
All other annual passes have options for example:
$154 regular
$203 with stroller rental
$213 with parking
$262 with stroller rental and parking
They are all the same except for how often you can come to the park, premium perks and parking free for premium members.

Re: The Joys of Strollers
I'm sure most here are familiar with It's Tough to be a Bug at AK. It's a long windy road around the Tree of Life. There was a large family in front of us with a person riding an ECV, but of course they sat a 6 or 7 year old girl on top of that person and let her drive the ECV. Obviously she could not negotiate the turns.
They thought it was hilarious, all the while they kept backing everyone up as it was starting to rain.
Finally I said something to them about not being allowed to do that. They shot me dirty looks and told us to just cut in front of them.

Being behind an ECV is always annoying, but if there's one place I would rather be less, it's ahead of an ECV. Means your ankles are perfectly positioned for a surprise jolt.
I don't care who you are, if you're on an ECV and it's obviously not yours (Orlando Scooter Rental across the back is a great clue), I do not want to be ahead of you. Even if it IS yours, I want to see a skills test before I will willingly and knowingly stand ahead of you less than about 200'.
But back to the subject at hand. Today, I was on my bus, about to pull out of AK when a family ran up to me with two kids asleep in the stroller. I told them it had to be folded. I had to be kidding them... which, of course, we all know I was. After complaints about how the previous driver didn't make them fold it, dad got to work. After six minutes of fiddling, he finally figured it out, and stormed onto the bus.
If you are bringing a stroller to the World, please have a general understanding how to operate it before attempting a bus
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

Re: The Joys of Strollers
Nah. FL is the worst. On one of our trips, we tried to walk through FL about 2 pm. The entire walkway was narrowed down to about 4 feet - barely enough room for people to walk in opposite directions.ICStupidPeople wrote:does anyone else think that the the walkway between Jungle Cruise/Indy/Tarzan Tree house (aka the stair ride) should be renamed "stroller congestion hell alley" in the afternoon? That really is the only area in the park that I notice the strollers out in force, but then again I avoid Fantasyland like the plague between the hours of 9 am and 9pm and would rather have my eyes gouged out with a spork than enter tomorrowland at peak hours, so maybe that's the only place I've had the opportunity to see them.
e.t.a In DL not WDW by the way.
IMO, certain areas should be painted with some sort of lines with arrows, indicating a pathway and CMs should keep said pathway cleared. But SG's still won't get it.
Between 9 am and 9 pm? Unless you have EMH, you don't even go into FL, eh? ;) On our two previous trips (after what we saw at 2 pm), we hit FL right at park opening. We get through all the FL attractions by 10 am tops, and then we avoid FL like the plague.
Re: The Joys of Strollers
I have a infant niece and we have a "S" on our passes for her, although we will most likely always use her own stroller. Not that we want a "premium" stroller but I didn't know there was a difference? I thought the rental strollers were all the same? It's been over a decade since I've even given the stroller rental a second lookMain Streeter wrote:Speaking of the hated strollers & their handlers...Fri. I was ringing & the guest said he was an AP. Ok, no big deal. "Please show me your AP Premium card." He pulls out an AP with a large PS on the back.I'd never seen this type Premium "P" card. Turns out for $10.00 extra per yr. guests can buy "PS" cards. PS =s Premium Stroller AP. Why was I so surprised?

Re: The Joys of Strollers
Stroller people do not understand that hitting a person could cause that person to flatten their brat. From what I heard the only difference is that with the S on the pass you get the stroller for free. It is to save stroller users time and money simply showing the pass and running of with the stroller to hit people.
I watched this video and was wondering if there was a way for the Mad Hatter to train more people as he seemed to have those people pretty well trained.
