That's funny. Evil, but funny. I think I would fit right in on one of these group outings. For some freakin' reason, everytime I go to a store, other customers think I work there. Doesnt matter what store, Walmart, Lowes, even Dollar General. Our car keys are on a lanyard that I wear around my neck and I guess apparantly, if you wear a lanyard you are an employee.

Now considering the amount of time and money I spend in Wally World, I can see why I look comfy in my surroundings. In fact half the time I know where things are better then the actual employees. LOL

Funniest one I had was an old man at Lowes Garden center who INSISTED big time that yes I was an employee after I told him I wasn't. "But I really need to know where xxx item is" Real employee standing right next to him, literally. But, no, he wanted to know from ME. I thot the actual employee was going to crack up trying not to laugh.

But nothing tops the one at Dollar General. It is winter, so I have on a heavy coat. Just happen to be carrying an actual purse, not one that looks like a messanger bag, but full-on purse. But the topper and this woman had to be an idiot to even think I was anything but a shopper. I HAD MY KID WITH ME. Not an older child but a toddler in the basket of the cart(who also had on a winter coat) After informing her that NO, I am not an employee, she persists in saying "Well, you are wearing keys around your neck" Since by this point my DD is getting fussy and I am getting annoyed, I snap. "Lady, do you honestly think that if I was an employee, I would bring my small child to work with me and for God's sake dont you think I would at least take off my coat if I was working" Her repsonse **SPUTTER SPUTTER** LOL

I now purposely wear the lanyard just to see the look of embarassement on ppls faces. I have to have to have something to entertain me while I shop. :D:

her grandma makes these costumes for her...she's a very VERY shy little girl...she gets to go to dl about once every 6 months...she comes in wearing the costume, has a few photos taken of her with a cm or two and then she changes into regular clothes...she really DOES want to work at dl when she grows up...

Is nothing sacred? I accidentally made a quasi thunder (new) costume, I got the pants on purpose, because once you wash them in hot water once or twice, they're frankly orgasmic (is that allowed i forget.) Any who, I threw them on with a dark blue button down, passed a mirror and freaked out couldn't figure out why i'd gotten dressed for work to go mix cement.

So yeah is nothin sacred, I hope the kid don't grow up funny.

Yeah, that's a great idea. Encourage your child to aspire to become a Disneyland CM and make minimum wage as a career.

I grew up about an hour away from WDW. As a child I always wanted to grow up and be a CM. I used to badger all the CMs asking how I could work there when I was old enough :)

Of course, I never dressed up like a CM, but I can't be the only kid who wanted to grow up and work there :) Or am I totally strange?
