There was a blonde girl in a black t-shirt sitting on the wall to the right of the front door talking to the bearded security guy when we went back. I started to ask him about why the wristbands weren't numbered (as they were the last time) and she piped up that only Borders was handing out numbered wristbands. I was initially hoping to figure out where our place in the line would be and return sometime around midnight rather than having to get there before the line-up time. I just hated that crush of people! We ended up in group "E" so it was awhile before we even got in the front door once they started ringing the books up.
Yeah, I was in group A and still had issues. I was really hoping for numbered ones too (apparently they had numbers last year, I ended up talking with quite a few people that were at this same B&N last year) I was the 5th or 6th one in line for wristbands and ended up about 15 or 20 people back with the lineup. Yes, I have no life right now since I'm on leave and all.

BTW, if you were there for the wristband lineup I was the one way up front with the baby.

My hubby went to Borders to get the book... By the time he got there, the line was an hour long. I told him we should go get the book and I could show off a cape but noooo He took us both home so I missed the party. So the next day we went and got the book and I pretended I had a cape on and snarked at the hubby for missing the party. I had wanted to see the party, and didn't care how tired I was. Hubby also complained to the guy we got the preordered book from about how screwed up the line thing was too.

He read the book first, then I got my chance to read it...We liked it too.

I sorta wish we could have gone into the life of Teddy Lupin a little more than "Oh he's born, and his parents are dead and He's with Victoire (Weasley?)

I think Lupin and Tonks should have become ghosts at Hogwarts, so they could have seen Teddy when he started there.
