The thing with the SG is that they wouldn't think it was their fault, it's the ride's/Disney's fault. They should've enforced the rules better, or they should've made the ride to accommodate their kid, or one of many other excuses they can come up with.Panther007 wrote:I wonder how fast i will be banned from that site when i say something like

Okay, it appears that we, the management here at StupidGuestTricks.com, haven't been clear enough on some points. Permit me to try again using small words and short sentences:Panther007 wrote:I wonder how fast i will be banned from that site when i say something like

Attitude alone will not get you banned. Bad attitude alone will not get you banned. Bad attitudes about *guests* alone will not get you banned -- hell, that's why we *created* SGT!
If you *want* to get banned here, try spamming us with commercial advertisements, making personal attacks or threats against fellow SGTers, or misspelling my name. Other than that, have fun!
There's a reason we didn't call this board "Pixie Dust Central" you know.... :notink:

Dont mispell teh naime off Zazu teh Modirator. Got it.
Panther, were you saying you would be banned here or at that other board? I do subscribe to a couple other Disney boards, but none that are like that. The one that I spend my time on has people that at least seem extremely respectful of the Cast and what we do, and what it is our goal to do every day for them. However, that board seems to have a different clientele. Good luck with your post.
Instead of concentrating on the negative, I would urge that passholder to step back, and simply watch the people who are at the Land or the World for the first time. How do they react to the things around them? What do and don't they notice? I would go so far as to say that if you aren't going to a Disney resort specifically for the magic we all work so hard to create, if you don't go expecting to enjoy yourself, I would rather see you go somewhere else where the magic isn't important to the company... I'm trying to think of somewhere you can go... If you have grown up to the point where you can't experience the magic and don't want to, you are too old to go to Disneyland or Disney World. If having your child too short to ride an attraction is going to ruin your vacation, save it for later. Go with a fresh mind and fresh eyes. Consider it our gift to you: Spend some time being a kid again. Why, even the steam trains work much better when we enjoy them from the perspective of a kid. Sure, we know more about how they work as adults, but while riding behind them, just enjoy the "choo choo" factor.
Today, it was all brought back for me when I went on lunch from the bus area, went backstage through Main Street at the end of the patriotic parade. It was over, Daisy was getting into a car to leave, and a little girl of about 5 broke free of her parents grip, ran full steam at Daisy and threw her arms around her. We should all have some character like that... now if they would only let me out into the giraffe area at DAK...
Now, I do have to say, the coolest thing I've seen so far at WDW was driving the ES, going by the roundhouse, and all the steam trains and monorails were uniformly parked in their stalls, all shiny and polished, and they just looked really cool.
Yikes, that's a long post. Something tells me I like to write.

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

-I want the rest of the urn to be thrown up in the air after the first drop of Thunder Mountain, getting it all over the other people on the ride.
After that I will be forever a part of disneyland.

Re: Stupid passhole tricks
I don't even know what to say to these fools that believe they can just ignore the rules and make up their own.
You know what's funny, though? When I was growing up, we had less of these rules, but also less problems. Why is that?
I never thought of cutting in line, climbing on things that I wasn't supposed to, drawing graffiti, not listening to safety speils, yelling at CM's when something was closed...the list goes on.

Re: Stupid passhole tricks
It's because over the last 30 years or so, people have gotten into all this "entitlement" crap, and feel they can do anything they want. Also, in my day, parents disciplined their kids, taught them right from wrong, and that rules were meant to be obeyed. They take advertising slogans like, "Sometimes ya gotta break the rules" and treat them as a higher authority. Worst of all, nobody seems to understand the concept of consequences. There's an old joke that has a mom telling her young son that if he broke the rules, he would have to live with the consequences. To which the kid replied, "Do they have a pool?" Quite frankly I think people are becoming dumber and dumber. They have no common sense. When I was a kid, we played with toys that today would be banned for safety reasons, but we were always careful. If we did get hurt, it was usually something minor. Now there's so many rules and precautions, nobody knows how to think anymore. Except SGTers, of course.
