Now what I want to know is why is it there's an accident or death at Knotts... the media covers it for like 10 min and that's it... no more end of story... but if something happens at DL... LOOK OUT WORLD....... And they go on for at least 2 days, and then there's updates every week. But I think all this thunder hype has died off

It's sad, but Disneyland has *way* more recognizeability than Knott's, so it's more likely to pull in the ratings and ad dollars on news channels. Sad, but true.

First of all, Knotts is very dirt, trash backstage. I haven't been there since Haunt about two years ago. The only time I played in that park other then Haunt was when I used to work there, where I go in before work, walk around, and just go on a couple of rides, that was it. I never went back again! The rides are never properly maintained.

It seems like they are trying too hard to attract the teenage crowd, but I guess it is working. I have an annual pass there and I always laugh at how stupid some of the kids are over there.
Color schemes are UGLY!!! They never match in the area they are in!!

That was the last year I went to Knott's Berry Farm.

May 5, 1999 the radio station KIIS offered for Cinco de Mayo entrance to the park for a nickel but I thought it was $5. People arrived in the wee hours and by 11 am the park was packed. They then started turning people away then announced they were closing 3 hours early at 5 pm.

From what I recall there were fights and lots of angry people. How could KIIS and Knotts offer $5 let alone $15 tickets and not expect people to be pouring into Buena Park. It was a nightmare and turned me off from Knotts.

Things are so bad at Knott's now they can't keep all the rides staffed, and they have supervisors, etc. running the rides. That place was hell to work for. None of the food places can pass a health inspection if their lives depended on it, maintenence is overworked and way undersupplied, and management has their heads up their asses. And that's putting it mildly. Check out http://www.kbfdrama.com; use Yahoo! to search; I've discovered it's on Excite as well. One guy was working the hotel, and all he did was offer suggestions for improvement. Next thing he knows, his supervisor informs him that the room he had been working in had $500 missing, and he ended up getting kicked out. Hell has nothing on Knott's. Poor Walter and Cordelia must be crying their eyes out over what the idiots in Cedar Fair are doing to their park. The only thing I regret about getting kicked out of Knott's was that I was walked out because earlier that day I had to run to the bathroom and was charged with leaving my attraction without authorization. Well, it was either run to the bathroom or crap in my pants. Management is out to get you on anything they can. I had wanted to do a "take this job and shove it" kind of exit. I tried reporting them to the labor board, but it did no good--they sided with Knott's. I should've shit in my pants and made them eat it . Knott's management is a bunch of evil backstabbers. I say boycott the place, and let it close down. It would serve them right. The Knott family built that park for two reasons, to preserve our Western heritage and entertain people while they were waiting to eat at Mrs. Knott's chicken dinner restaurant. I hope Knott's management gets the ultimate in retributive justice--everything they have done to their employees over the years they recieve sevenfold upon their heads.
