Yea, you'd expect people had more common sense, but if there's one thing i've learned from being there for over a year now it's that people are really a lot less intelligent than you can imagine....DLRFantasmic!Dan wrote:They ask that question a lot... with A SCHEDULE IN THEIR HAND!!! As well as the "What is Fantasmic!?" question! That's why I point it out to them when I answer their quetion.

Re: What Is This?
I think we all know what the second most popular question we're asked is (after where the bathrooms are)... What time is the 3 o'clock parade? And for those guests who don't know, yes, we get asked that, exactly like that.Mystik Csz wrote:I'd actually like to just point out that people in general are waaaay too lazy to read, it's just like the guest that happened to ask me what time the 9:00 showing of fantasmic was a while back..
"Ummm, the 3 o'clock parade is at... 3 o'clock. But if you're down the route a bit it might arrive at your location at 3:10. Have a nice day." I can't believe how many times I hear myself saying that.
What do you mean you won't smile for the camera?
Re: What Is This?
What about just reading a simple sign? A blue one with a wheelchair on it?? hung from a rope behind which are about a 20 people and about 8 wheelchairs and scooters...
stroller families, cheerleaders, anyone anywhere desperate for a parade spot... point and run over the poor poor CM manning the rope.. and i see the charades begin ... they point to all the room around us.. and he shakes his head, they point more vigorously.. he shakes his head and points somewhere else.. they look astounded and point AGAIN! and it goes on and on and on with desperate family after family...

Haunted Mansion
"Is this a walk through ride?" (Exact sentence heard dozens of times every day, usually I just say "no, it's a ride-through ride.")
"Is this a roller coaster?"
"Is this the boat ride?"
"Is that the castle?"
"Is this the line for the train ride?"
"How scary is it?"
"Is this the ride with the elevator?"
"Is this the ride that drops?"
"Is that the Tower of Terror?"
"Is this a ride?"
"Does anyone actually live here?"
"What's actually inside the house?" (Only funny because the actuall answer - that I never give - is a bathroom.)

I know a cast member whose response is "2:60." You'd be amazed (okay, if you're a CM probably not) how many people don't get it.SirWillow wrote:I think we all know what the second most popular question we're asked is (after where the bathrooms are)... At the Mansion you get that almost every stretch. "This is actually an elevator." "We're really going down." I've always wondered if they find it odd that they don't go up to leave the ride.tacoboy wrote:I prefer the people who THINK they know it all and try to show off however they actually know diddily squat!
for example:
sg: this is Expedition Everest It is 300 feet tall, and is the fastest coaster this side of the mississippi!
(yes i heard a guest say that while online(yes me and my friends laughed out loud(yes i have friends ))) :p:

Or the idiot that stares at the wall, thinking it's the door, sometimes even after the real door has opened. "It's this one!"
Alot of people would also look over at TSI and think it was part of the line.

Sir, will debate you on this. :) "Do you work here?" is the 2nd most asked question when I'm on stage. "No sir/ma'am, just like TT odd colors, big buttons, & baggy pants," or "No, don't work here. Like to dress in FL prints, 3 bolts of material skirt & wear ugly olive green vest decorated with red piping. I try to blend in." Have never said above to a guest but some day...... Main Street costume is my only one now - Thank You God! I'm often asked]SirWillow wrote:I think we all know what the second most popular question we're asked is (after where the bathrooms are)... What time is the 3 o'clock parade? Well, I could also go with, "Are you taking pictures?" No, I'm just standing here with all this camera equipment on to look like a living decoration.Main Streeter wrote:Sir, will debate you on this. :) "Do you work here?" is the 2nd most asked question when I'm on stage.
I seem to recall somewhere some sort of a list of commonly asked stupid questions. Anyone know where it was, or am I just getting fuzzy from being asked so many?
