LOL that is just too funny. But the sad thing is that I can see that happen. Those pin sharks are brutal. I have had so many bad experiances with them.

Well I got to thinking today what if part of the backstage magic is that they will clean up the backstage areas so we feel like we are in a professional work enviroment. A new coat of concrete and paint would do wonders for moral. But I have a feeling this will happen about when dumbo flies on his own without his ride.

Cleaning up & painting backstage DisneyLand would more than Magical! 51 yrs. of filth does nothing for CM moral, let alone safe D. This month DLR has redone & restriped K Lot for CMs. Bet this will be about all the Magic we'll be given this yr.

:waves at Main Streeter: Wow, I can see the difference. Considering I'm right down the way. Would you believe how many guests ask if they can park there? LOL

:hi5: , waving & dancing rigth back at you LDC :piratedan Could not even come close to guessing how many of your guests ask & whine abt parking in our K Lot. Last week, on a slow week day, I sat behind 4 idots on Katella who were in the K Lot left turn lane then did U turns. :( I just made the yellow light & turn by a 1/2 second. The 5th idiot in turn lane actually drove into K Lot & argued with security. I was fuming, but the gods were good & found me a close space in front car pool lane. I deserved it. ]

It's been about a week or so since the new celebration started. Has this become a dream or nightmare for you? Just curious, because I have seen alot of positive and negative feedback from guests on other boards. Would like to see opinions from the cm point of view.

Exactly. If you want to see something amusing, go watch the jerks who think they should be ahead of everyone else jumping back and forth between lines at food or turnstyle locations because they think one line is moving faster than another. Then they jump back to the original line when it starts to move again. If they'd just had half an ounce of patience, they would have made their way to the front sooner. And I love the jerks who proclaim, "get out of my way" as they make their way through the crowds. What makes you different than anyone else who decided to show up that day? You choose to come in July or August (or during mad publicity promotion time), you deal with the others who decided to show up too. If they want the VIP treatment, they should pay the VIP price and fork over $75 per hour for the person in plaid.

I'd also like to kick the pass-holes who think that by virtue of buying the AP, that means that their needs are above everyone else's - talk about sense of entitlement. No, you don't qualify for early entry if you aren't staying at a hotel, no you can't get a bigger discount akin to a long-time CM, no you don't get to take the decorations just because you feel like it. I don't care if you paid $300 plus. If you're at the park all the time, your amortized AP is worth much less than the family that came here one time only from Timbuktu... and they are going to be the ones that I would want to look out for.

OK. time for my observations, as wittnessed over two weekends at 3 parks: MK, EPCOT, and AK.

Much more people sitting around. While at first glance one might think "Hey, nice to see some families taking a break and letting their kids catch their breath before running off tot he next ride". But on closer inspection, ive heard many of them wanting to get up and move, but one (or more) members of their family insist on "A few more minutes, we havent won somehting yet!"

More rudeness than a few weeks ago. Saw--err, heard the most "What's your name? Guest relations will be hearing about this" lines than i have in te past 6 months. The guests didnt want their names for valid reasons, but rather because a CM wouldnt let them up into fallout area, cut them off at fastpass merge, told their kid to stop climbing on benches and planters, etc.

More jealousy because someone got something they didnt. Saw it coming a mile away.

Thats all I have the energy or patience to rant about on YoMD. I will say however, that I do take back a little bit of my harshness towards the promotion displayed in my original post. The promo does seem to be doing a few good things for the parks (like stage shows, press events, new color-clashing entrance signs to WDW property, all that new Alice-in-Wonderland-Style petal signage, etc). So its here, and we gotta live with it for the next 14.78 months or so. Make the Best of It! :)

I haven't spied too much negative (other than the crowds). I happened to be walking past a Tour Guide recently, who was stopped by some guests and listened to a portion of their conversation which went something like:

S.G. "So if we asked for it, could we get a Magical Moment?"

T.G. (looking somewhat abashed) "I don't think it would be a real Magical Moment if it weren't spontaneous..."

I'm sure that the same sort of greedy thinking is going to be behind any cornering of Dream Squad members for the next year: "I want MY dream to come true. I want the --- prize I read about NOW!"

I hate it when I'm right..but that's not important at the moment.

Didn't the higher-ups realize this would happen? Oh, that's right. They're so busy counting the added revenue from Admissions, that the close to rioting guests make no sounds over grunts of greedy happiness. I wonder if it gets really dirty if Disney would pull the plug on it.
