Re: CM's that got fired.
I've done two CPs and am getting ready to enter my third before going full time. (I just graduate last weekend.) People got termed for some pretty stupid stuff (stupid on their part). The two that really took the cake happened when I worked attractions.
1.) A CP I knew kept messing up, but the managers were trying to give him a second chance. Our area was extremely busy, even on slower days, and he would come back from breaks 20 minutes late, which of course puts the entire system behind. He would always hit the Station Stop for no reason, and never did his job right. I personally watched him run over to an unload panel on his way back to his station at Greeter and hit the E-stop, right as the unload person was trying to. He slammer her hand pretty hard. Another time the greeter threatened to call management because he was not doing his job, and he actually put his hand over the phone to stop her. He had a lot of maintenance complaints filed against him too. The last straw was when he went into a maintenance cage during a break and started flipping switches. Turned out the lights on a ride while guests were in it. They couldn't prove it was him, but the next day he came back from break late and when a manager confronted him about that, he started yelling at her.
2.) A FT CM fell asleep in the theatre and remained that way for several shows. When he woke up, the manager was standing over him.

Re: CM's that got fired.
Hmm this thread reminds me of this one CP that got termed for falling asleep durring cross training. But what was really unfortunate was the other person she was training with was our new manager. Can we say oopps?
I have another one but it took forever for this person to get termed. They would call in sick then bring their family into the park than what really was the icning on the cake come to their work area and ride the rides. This same person would tell the mamagement that they were sick and get an ER or ROS then go to PI that night on their ID. But what finally did this person in was when they had their roommate call and tell the managment that they were in the hospital then not 20 minutes latter we saw them at one of the rides they were supposed tp be working. This is stupidity at its finest I think.

Wow. That is extremely stupid. And that second person should have been termed a lot sooner. Man, that gets me annoyed.Stitch _Lover_Sith wrote:Hmm this thread reminds me of this one CP that got termed for falling asleep durring cross training. Re: CM's that got fired.
Pin trading at DL was very bad for CMs. There was a little war going on between pro and anti pin trading CMs. Judy the super pin trader got fired after she was accused of stealing pins which she did not. After the dust settled they put her in stores but with the same person who was giving her grief. Judy quit or they fired her but it has been a year since I heard from her and she was doing fine with a new job.
Wow falling asleep on the job during a meeting or training is bad. Wait until nobody is looking.

Re: CM's that got fired.
The very first time I ever went to work at DLP a guy was fired on the first day of Disney University training. It was right after the first hour of introduction (watching a video and chatting with Jeff, the orientation manager) when we had a ten minute break. A guy from Spain (we were all foreign CMs) didnt come back from the break so someone went to look for him. He was standing outside smoking and when told to put out the cigarette and come in he said "Nah, I need three cigarettes or I'm gonna flip out. Plus, those stupid introduction movies don't teach me anything..."
He was told to go pack his bags after spending just one single night as a CM and go back home to Spain.

BTW, Ottar, love the "ZZ9 Plural Alpha" reference in your profile. Makes me want to change my cell's ringtone back to "So Long & Thanks For All the Fish." :)

Re: CM's that got fired.
I just thought of another really stupid one. This girl was supposed to be at rope for grad night. Well when rotation came through noone could find her anywhere near the ropes. So we go on like this for the rest of the night. Well we find out latter that she diappearded last seen in the comppany of an underage guy. From what anyone can figure they did the nasty or a form of it. But this was after repeartedly swearing at the Grads. She was calling them things like stupid F***s and A******s. To thier faces minds you. I think she would have been gone even if she had not gone awol. I mean some of stupid things cast do.

Re: CM's that got fired.
Last friday, according to rumor, somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 to 10 CMs were termed for trying to sneak in to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Kids, here's a tip: when Disney is selling tickets to a hard-ticket event to CMs, that should be a clue that sneaking in may not be the best or brightest idea.

Serves them right!! At one point or another ALL CM's are warned not to attempt to sneak into either hard ticket or special events. You will be termed. I guess some folks just don't get it and think they can pull something over on the event folks or security :notalltheThunderCat wrote:Last friday, according to rumor, somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 to 10 CMs were termed for trying to sneak in to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
