A place to be entertained. Videos, jokes, games, and more.

At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Sure. I believe all bagpipe players are trying to play them.

Interesting that you should ask. Let me first say I ran a sound reinforcement company in my rock 'n' roll days so I know what good equipment is.
My wife decided she wanted a kareoke system for Christmas. I looked at what she wanted and decided it was junk so I searched around and got her a better head unit that plugs into a stereo and some decent mics. After hooking it up I determined there were major limitations so $800 later, she's got a good, mobile system.
Two days ago she was asked to bring it to a birthday party for a friend. They started to sing after the cake and were having a good time. Someone put on Great Balls Of Fire for the ladies chorus but it just wasn't working so I cleared my throat and stepped up to the mic. Oh yeah. I've been married for eighteen years and my wife has never heard me sing.
I did my best Jerry Lee Lewis impression and smoked the room. They dragged me back up for some Chuck Berry and I finished off the night with Like A Virgin in my best falsetto voice.
My wife is still looking at me in astonishment.

Hobie! Dude!! That's so cool. So... when can you come to Texas and audition for VM??? :D:
On a related but strange note, supposedly I'm distantly -- like fifth cousin multi-times removed distant -- related to Jerry Lee Lewis, which of course makes me also related to Mickey Gilley and Jimmy Swaggart. For the record, though, so far in life I have managed to avoid playing the piano with my feet, riding a mechanical bull, or tearfully confessing to sexual scandals.
ETA: Over 2000 posts on the ADD thread!
What does that say about us??? :D:

With Jerry Lee gettin' 'round as much as he did we may all be related to him. :D:
I think it would be pretty cool to be able to play piano with my feet but I'm a drummer so I get to use all four limbs and an occasional elbow.
