I did see a girl at AK actually chomp at her mom and almost bite her.

Dosn't suprise me!

One of the worst on the job injuries I got was a human bite. I still have the scar imprint from the teeth marks! and that was through a long sleeved shirt and lined jacket!

Did you bite them back? :p:

My mom tells me that's what she did one time when I was a toddler and for some reason bit her. I never did it again!

Umm, no, It was later determined that I had fractured his jaw while trying to get him off, but everytime I hit him, he tugged on my arm, a little painful.

I though up a unique way, and he released his bite.

Turns out he had gotten a bit of PCP into his system, and couldn't really feel that much pain.

After I got off work today I changed and headed straight back to Main Street to go and get my hair cut at the Barber Shop as it was getting really shaggy. I was able to walk right in and didn't have to wait. It was cool getting my hair cut there. It was also cheaper and easier than Kingdom Cutters (the cast barber shop in the tunnel) who was booked solid today and wanted over a dollar more than what I paid on MS.

While talking with another patron, the barbers, and a manager who came in I found out the cast preview for Toy Story Mania was delayed. I hadn't even heard about the cast preview for that yet, I didn't know it was almost ready. The last anybody had heard then was it was to be rescheduled for sometime soon but nobody knew when exactly.

I went to Studios this evening mostly to get some dusk shots in front of Tower by Photopass. I headed down to Walt Disney: One Man's Dream to kill some time and talked to the greeters about Toy Story Mania. According to what they've heard it'll be this weekend hopefully when they do the cast preview. I'm off Friday and Saturday this week so if it is the preview is this weekend it'll be wonderful.

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious…
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

On the way we stop to pick up some people from the Toontown stop. Among a whole lot of characters' best friends was Mickey. Not Mickey's friend, Mickey. It was interesting as while you see a lot of best friends backstage the characters themselves don't hang out back there to often.
I thought it was pretty cool the first time Mickey got on the bus with me. I guess it's a little weird that I was pretty happy when I waved at him and he waved back. But then, I have to be a little weird to have quit a good paying job to work here (but I also quit a potential heart attack.)

If trees could scream, would we be so cavalier about cutting them down? We might, if they screamed all the time, for no good reason. -Jack Handy

The first thing I'm doing (and should be done) after getting off the phone with 911 is grabbing the nearest Nextel (there's at least one per shop, sometimes more) and calling management. I was talking to one of our coordinators and he said I'm the first person to ever say that to him. If someone else is calling 911 I'll call the managers. It isn't hard, you grab the Nextel, push the button on the side and say something to the effect of "M-O-D to *location*, an alpha unit has been called". That'll bring the managers running even if nothing else will.
It astounds me how reluctant a lot of CMs are to pick up that Nextel. I ran out of blue boxes the other day and when I asked the CM on the next register if she had any she said she had run out about a half hour ago and was waiting for a stocker to go by. Meanwhile, the Nextel was sitting on her register right in front of her. This is a minor instance which sticks in my mind because it was recent. I have heard CMs complain about tons of problems which could have been fixed by picking the Nextel up, and when you suggest that to them they give you a look like you suggested they pick up a dead fish.

This is a late reply and you probably know this by now, but the week will show up as "OFF" on all shifts from Midnight Sunday until they are done importing the schedule which I've seen take anywhere from 30 minutes to three hours.

Were they told that the Nextel was for "unusual" situations or emergencies only?
