Re: The Official Planning Thread of the Bubble Ladies 2008 WDW Tour
Okay, details coming shortly. I should have airfare completed tomorrow. It's been going up and down (mostly down), and I am STILL waiting for the money to hit my account from Amazon. Any number of reasons... Hopefully tomorrow it will be there. If not, I have another fund I can take from until it does hit.
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I don't remember and am too lazy to go back to early posts, but I know we're covering airfare and hotels. I'm assuming we're covering entrance, probably mostly with sign-ins from local CMs, but are we covering general expenses like food and such or just any extra will go towards that and they're planning and covering their own food?
BTW, I should have some money available in the next week or so. I know it won't help for airfare and if it'll take too long to go through Amazon, then BW PM your address and I'll send a check or money order.

We need to set up some meet times and places too. No sense of everyone running willy nilly and hoping to chance running into them. We need some input from the BL's into what they want to experience and how commando or not they are on park touring. Do they want to do the EMH's? Are they open the park type ppl? At the least we need a daily itinerary for at least what park they wish to be in on which day. That will make some small meets like ---EXP---everyone be at Big Thunder at 7PM on Saturday to take a group ride. ETC, ETC. easier to plan. There are quite a few ppl headed down for that time and it will be hard to meet up if we dont have at least some sort of prior plans. Remember not everyone will be able to be in contact at all times. (not everyone has a cell and there are times where they also cant be on)

Strange request...It's really a shoot-the-moon idea, so I doubt it will work. But I was curious... is there anyone who has a comfortable motor home or comfortable travel trailer close enough that we could use it at FtW? It's not necessarily even a good idea, but just an idea we're looking into as suggested by someone that's helping out. Might be great, might be awful, but it's a thought we're having. And yes, a strange one. But it could be very cool, too. I don't know

How about a tent or perhaps a cardboard box? ;) Seriously tho, have you considered some off property site and having them rent a car to get back and forth. There is that Nikki Bird place for 168$ for the week and quite a few other close places have some great rates too ranging from $35 to $50 that are really decent places. I know that isnt the total Disney immersion thing but sometime ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

As of my last conversation with BW (which was about...oh...30 minutes ago), I think the current incarnation of the 'shelter plan' involves Pop for the length of their stay. For the 12 nights they need, we're about 200$ shy of having that fully covered. That's before a few of the last promised donations and help (some in cash, and some in the form of paying for a night or two in a hotel actually come through).
This isn't the Contemp like some were hoping to get for them, but I don't think that'll matter one bit.

As long as they are happy and having fun, that's all that matters.
Oh, by the way, I am more than willing to help with maingating them into the park with my maingate pass. Or is that already taken care of?
