That was a good story. My nieces were sitting in my lap and they both nodded off in a movie. :)

Last Oct 2009, my sister and our best friend were at the Polynesian Resort.

We went down stairs to Captain Cooks. I was getting something to eat when our friend from childhood came over and mentioned that one our local sgts from the police station was here too.

I met him and his family and told them this was a yearly retreat we do. We had their family sitting with us and we gave them fun details on where to take the kids.

A few days later we AK Lodge and we found them at the snack bar. It was a great vacation. Hopefully I will run into some one again on my next trip.

I'm a future CM for WDW (sorry, I know this is on the DL forum) but I was at WDW in June and I met the sweetest little boy and his mother. Definitely made my night.

My roommates and I were at the MK, and it was downpouring for, oh, fifteen minutes? We ducked into Toontown and went to Mickey's house to hang out until the rain stopped. The rain let up, and we decided to go into the Judge's Tent and meet Mickey, since I'd never actually met the Head Mouse in Charge!

We got in line behind a lovely woman from England, and her young son (probably four or so?). We talked with them a little bit about the weather, and Mickey Mouse. They had been through the line already, but the son forgot to ask Mickey questions, like 'Why is their paint all over your kitchen?' Since my roommates and I had just come from Mickey's house, we played along with him. We talked all about the paint in the kitchen, and Mickey's shoes and his slippers. We spoke to the mother a little too. My roommates and I were literally the last people in line, and the mother and son were right in front of us, so we watched as he went to meet Minnie and Mickey again.

The little boy marched right up to Mickey and Minnie and started to ask them things, like "... Mickey... do you wear big slippers? Why is there paint in your kitchen? Did Donald spill it there?" And he's saying it all in a tiny little voice with a strong accent, and my roommates and I are silently cracking up. Finally, the mother is trying to rush her son along, as it was getting late and the Judge's Tent was closing. The little boy looked up at Minnie and this exchange happened:

Boy: Minnie... why do you have eyes?
Mum: Tell Minnie she has lovely eyes!
Boy: But Minnie, why... why do you have eyes?

They finished up and left, and my roommates and I met with Minnie and Mickey (Mickey gestured as if to say 'That little boy is a talker!'), took a few pictures, and left. We found the boy and his mother outside, with the boy in a stroller, playing with a plastic pirate sword. The fireworks show was going on, and the boy continued his chatty manner.

Boy: Does Mickey see the fireworks?
Me: I'm sure he and Minnie sit out in Minnie's garden to watch the fireworks together.
Boy: ... does... does Mickey go in the fireworks?
Roommate 1: I'm sure he goes outside to watch them.
Roommate 2: Do you like the fireworks? I think they're loud sometimes.
Boy: I'm not scared!
Roommate 2: No?
Boy: No, I'll fight the fireworks like a pirate!

My roommates still will look at each other and just bust out with, "Minnie... why do you have eyes? Does Mickey go in the fireworks?" with the accent and all. It was absolutely precious.

A few days ago, I was bussing tables at the Tomorrowland Terrace when I saw this family with twin boys sitting at a table. One of them asked the father how to pronounce my name as I was passing by and the father glimpsed at my nametag and told them how to pronounce it. The next time I came around to their table, both boys said hi and my name. It was pretty cute. :p:

Woohoo! I saw the post within 3 minutes.

:sgthello:

Welcome to SGT, TiggerHappy. Please watch out for the safety spiel that is about to come, as it is delivered by a dragon that gets excited to see new people, and we haven't yet figured out how to turn off his breath. And, even if we did, it's kinda fun to watch the new people writhe.

Okay, I made that last part up.

Make sure you save the drinks for after the safety spiel, especially if they contain anything of a grown up nature. You will thank me later.

Now, get behind the asbestos shield. It will be over soon.
