Same sort of thing happened to my oldest daughter about ten years ago, when she was still in high school. She was coming down the hill we lived on, a pretty steep hill, and the brakes failed on the bike she was riding. She went flying over the handlebars and onto the asphalt, breaking five of her front teeth and one of her thumbs. But she had a helmet on, thank god, and didn't even have a concussion from it.
I've never had to convince her younger siblings to wear helmets and/or other protective gear when biking, rollerblading or skateboarding after this incident, even when their friends wouldn't because it was "dorky."

The Heelie put me in an awful position at my wonderful park-in-a-mall a couple weeks ago.
A guest comes up and insists that I tell her where she can buy HEELIES. I bite my tounge to avoid making a smart ass remark about heelies and inform here that there are many shoe stores throughout the mall.
My answer wasn't good enough so she clarifies what they are and that they are sold at "sports stores" I tell her to go out into the mall and find a directory.
I refuse to support the distribution of Heelies.

Naw, that's amateur stuff. Last week I saw a kid heelying through a crowd of servers inside Lumiere's dining room aboard the Disney Magic -- on a night with gale force winds and rough seas!
Why yes, yes I *did* get to see him face plant! How could you ever guess?
And in case you're wondering, it never happened - I didn't do it - and besides it was an accident!

Yes, Zazu, a rocking ship is definitely worse- but provides the incline that Heely kids crave! Maybe they could be restricted to the top deck...Hope there is netting on the rails so no little cuties are lost at sea!

Yes, with holes large enough that heelies slip through to Davy Jones and the child is safe. I can see the movie version of Davy Jones looking at them and then tossing them back onto the ship yelling "Keep ye devil shoes to yeselves!!!"

Yes, Safety Netting would be to prevent having to deal with the unhappy parents of said Heely children demanding a rescue...I do like the idea of Davy Jones coming up on deck to give them the "Do you fear death?" speech! :D:

ROFL! I actually think that would be a great line when CMs catch kids with Heelies anywhere -- parks, ships, resorts... Can you imagine their little eyes (or their parents'!) when someone looks them in the eye and says,
"Do you not fear death?" :D:

Great idea to have a Davy Jones CM to enforce the rules! Doubt Disney would let that critter run around, though, too scary.
