I would be careful. All Mickey has to do is say something, and your paycheque might suddenly disappear ;) . Oh, and his friends might find you in the utlidors and...yea.

Hey, she's the one that kissed me on the cheek! All I did was kiss her hand. She offered it to me and I am a southern gentleman and she is a lady so I really had no choice.

I'll be careful though, I don't want to piss off the big cheese! I enjoy my job to much to lose it for something like that.

At my old job after 8 hours I was out of there but with this one 8 hours just isn't long enough. I'm not tired usually and yesterday I didn't want to go home at 4:30. I was going to hang around the park a while anyway so I might as well get paid for it. I was going to wait to visit Toontown until later on anyway to try to avoid the big crowds. Still wound up waiting a while at the Judge's Tent as when I got there Mickey and Minnie were still in the parade so couldn't greet guests, they can't be two places at once you know.

Also, those longer shifts are good on the paycheck since I get time and a half for any hour over 8.

You've either been drinking too much of GP's rum, or you're starting to feel the effects of TOO MUCH PIXIE DUST! :D:

Must be the pixie dust since I don't touch anything stronger than Coke!

That reminds me, I've had a few guests ask me where they can get alcohol. They don't like it when I tell them the MK is dry and they have to go to one of the resorts.

The other day I was working a cart in the evening when this man, who I believe was from India, asked where he could find a "men's bar". Try explaining that there is no alcohol in the MK and that if he wants a drink he has to leave the park and go to a resort to someone with only a little understanding of English. Wasn't fun at the time but sorta funny later.

No one really owns RUM, you just rent it!! (hehehehe)

Besides, too much RUM makes you want to go hit yer bunk!

12 hour shifts could seem brutal! especially with a lot of heat and SG's

Hey Shorty, it was fun to meet you when we were in MK last friday! I was laughing the whole trip about the guy who said he hadn't seen you when you'd given him his breaks LOL. Talk about your short attention span.

Congratulations on the guest fanatic card!

I wrote a note for the whole MK Cast on Sunday night and dropped it off at City Hall to thank them for working the EMH hours (Til 2 am) on Sunday after working Friday and Saturday night grad nites! We had a really great time that night. I don't know if they even put that stuff up anywhere where the cast can see it, but I thought it was worth a shot. I was also sure that we personally said thank you to every single castmember we encountered that night. The smiles were priceless.

It was fun to meet you. I would have enjoyed being able to spend more time with you.

I'm glad you had a really enjoyable and magical time.

Grad Night shifts are killer. I'm just not used to working those kinds of hours. I AM crazy, I was scheduled to get off at 5:45am but the manager went around asking if anybody was willing to extend until 6:15 and I said yes. Me and the one other person who extended wound up helping the put away crew stock up the Confectionery main stock room at the end. It got really busy for a while and us stockers (I was working a stocking shift) were kept on our toes trying to keep up with everything. That kept up until about 4:00 when the manager called over the radio to close down the cart we had open so we were then busy working to get it switched to the normal merchandise from the Grad Night merchandise. I had to run carts and racks back and forth to get it all done.

By the end of that I was very hot and drank cup after cup of water from the water cooler. I was so hot I was very glad I was wearing the stocker costume instead of my normal one which is even warmer to wear. Then I went over to Firehouse (which is closed during Grad Night) to see what was needed in the drink cooler and fill it up. Boy it gets hot in there when it has been closed up for a while. It is real fun trying to cross Town Square with the hose crews around cleaning the sidewalks and street. After that I helped stock the Confectionery for a while before helping the put away crew in the stock room.

I get off, change my clothes, and grab some breakfast before catching the shuttle to West Clock. I slept until after 3:00 today. I'm just not used to graveyard shifts and having to work one and switch right back to normal shifts is hard. It felt weird to be leaving when the first shift was just coming in.

I used to work nights in a grocery store. Fun mix of drunks, waiters, bartenders and strippers coming through the store. It got even more fun when the cleaning crew would be stripping the floors and putting down new coats of wax. Soooo many drunks crossing the barriers and falling. Good times....

I had a friend who work in a grocery store from midnight to 8 AM. We never believed the stories he told until a few of us visited him one Saturday night. Wow!!

Night shift at a 24 hour store is considerd one of the most risky and dangerous jobs!

I used to work in the accounting office of a grocery store working the 3-11 shift. The difference between when I clocked in and when I clocked out used to scare me. There were nights where I made the manager walk me out to the car. :( And even now there are Sundays (like today) when I have to be at work by 5:30am and there are still some pretty creepy people at the grocery store. LOL And some of those are employees. :p:
