Well, howdy there, xliath! How did you sneak in here? Now that you have found us, don't be surprised if a couple of marsupials descend on you with welcoming arms, er..paws... whatever.xliath wrote:I always hate it when I would ask how many and they would reply with 2 adults 3 kids. Yoodyhoody - Wombat and Wallaby, your appendages are needed here for an official welcome.

Let me be the second to offer you a warm* welcome to SGT and suggest that when they do something like this you treat the kids as a separate group. Clearly that's what the parents want because they are telling you two group sizes aren't they?xliath wrote:I always hate it when I would ask how many and they would reply with 2 adults 3 kids. *by warm I mean incredibly hot**
**by incredibly hot I mean you should probably get out of the fire you are now standing in.

Thanks for all the Welcomes I have never had that kind of greeting on a forum. Now to add another story
it is worse when they tell you how many and fail to mention the slight detail, that half of their party is away at the bathroom. So then the family rushes up only to discover there is no more room. and what do they do? They get mad and upset with me. For something I had nothing to do with.

And another thing that irks me when I'm grouping: Guests who say something like "3 1/2" and the 1/2 is the baby with them. Since when is a baby 1/2 person? Just say "4 people", folks. It's that simple and is easier for me to group more per row if it there are small children in the party.
For Narnia! And for Aslan!

Maybe the parents are trying to "accidentally" lose their kids :twisted:Lasolimu wrote:Let me be the second to offer you a warm* welcome to SGT and suggest that when they do something like this you treat the kids as a separate group.
