Ahhh but there is the rub. You see the exemplary efforts of conscientious cast members and safety engineers are making the world (and the park) safe for these evolutionary throwbacks by catering to their abysmal standards of personal safety. Thus are they allowed to be fruitful and multiply. The only real solution to the problem would be to remove ALL safety barriers and replace them with simple signs saying "This is a dumb place to be".

I'll just laugh inside when I tell the kid not to skate in the park and then they run into the next trash can.

At the Grand if we have a SG with those wonderful wheeled shoes *I just threw up in my mouth a little bit* we stop the guest and wait until the wheels are removed. They keep the wheels and the shoes but I have yet to see the same SG come into the lobby with them again.

I hate Heelies!!! I think that they are the worst invention in the whole of the universe. I hope that some day Disney and all other theme parks and stores will ban these stupid shoes.

I saw a kid in Wal-Mart with them on. He went zooming past me and almost hit me. When I turned the corner I saw him try to avoid someone with a buggy and instead of hitting the buggy he hit a display of sunglasses. I laughed when I saw this. Luckily the sunglasses weren't hurt.

My daughter saw a commercial for the evil shoes and she looked at me with that I want those look on her face. Before she could say anything I said "No, Ma'am. We are not buying those shoes they are stupid and I will not allow you to be stupid." Surprisingly this worked and she hasn't asked for them again.

I hate these things, I have come very close to kids plowing into me while riding them at parks on both coasts. I know its Disney policy they are not allowed but many still use them and CM"s cant be everywhere all the time. If I see some little brat using them can I point them out to any CM so they will make them remove the wheels?

Svickersart the answer is yes. If you see someone breaking a park rule or a law then you should inform a CM. People are more likely to obey a CM than a guest. Do it descretely and so the rule breaker does not know it is you as I have seen people retaliate against a person who ratted them out. The worst thing to do but it is fun at times, is to scream real loud that there is a rule breaker.

If they still want to break the rule then the CM can turn the matter over to a lead who has options that could end up with expulsion from Disney property and possibly jail time as seen with certain minors at Space Mountain recently.

LMAO Sounds like something I would say to my kids.

DS wanted these for school shoes. I told him he was delusional if he thought I would let him get them. Two weeks later, some kid at DS' Christmas concert plowed into me and gave me a bloody nose.

Honestly.....tie, dress shirt, dress pants and heelies are what this kid's mom thought he should wear for a concert? Boneheads...all of them.
