Forum rules
At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Re: Caption contest
Sorry for the delayed results – that comes with a lengthy wait at the DPS office. But lots of funny this time around! This week’s prize (yeah, still no prize) goes to our own SGT member hhsrat – love this reference to the Vocal Majority’s director – or his son, who is also a VM director, so it works either way!

Honorable Mentions: Don Kistler: "The Westminster Chorus didn't win??? Ok, I'll come down then."; Kevin Kavanagh: "Wombat was confused when they asked him at the competition how high he could sing.” (Yes, extremely close to the winning entry, and both posted, in different forums, at exactly the same time! “Great minds” and all that…); Patrick Stayton: “Rapture rehearsal: Day 2”; Disneymom: (singing) "I'm on the top of the world, lookin’ - down on creation...."; and Alan AJ Irby: “Good: defying death and having unique life experiences. Bad: having to dress up like Sue Sylvester from Glee to do so.”
Thanks to all who entered! New picture coming Monday!

CAPTION CONTEST, Week 29 - Last week's photo referenced the Barbershop Harmony Society's annual convention in Toronto. This one is for next year's in Las Vegas, when the Vocal Majority returns to international competition! How would YOU caption this picture? Comment below! The same pic will show here, on The World of Wombat, and on Facebook. I'll repost the pic with my favorite caption on Friday. (As always, no prizes, other than the glory/infamy of being chosen.)

And with that, the cloning experiments have ended; proving that making a copy of a copy of a copy gives you a marsupial.

And the winner of the "Looks the least like Elvis" Elvis impersonator contest is...
Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

Re: Caption contest
Aaaaaand the (first time!) winner this week is Stupid Guest Tricks member and master of all Disney knowledge Zazu! Congratulations – although I have to say that his winning entry, while funny, isn’t really accurate. We VM guys, we ALL look good in rhinestones!

Honorable Mentions: YANXWIN: "And with that, the cloning experiments have ended; proving that making a copy of a copy of a copy gives you a marsupial."; Alan AJ Irby: "Well known phases in the life of Elvis Presley: 50's rock-and-roll pioneer look, 60's movie icon look, 69 comeback special look, 70's Vegas look. Lesser known phase: choral-lawyer look.”; Disneymom: “With this picture, Becky finally figured out what happened to her missing Bedazzler.....”; and Judy Clancy: “Let the Jeff Oxley impersonations begin!” (Jeff is multi-gold medal-winning bass, VM’s Musical Director, and he does a great Elvis impersonation, sometimes on VM shows.)
Thanks to all who entered! New picture coming Monday!
