At the old Disney Hyperion Studio, the screening room where animators would show animated scenes to Walt for his approval was small, with no ventilation or AC. Not only was it hot, but the animators were nervously awaiting Walt's reaction to their work. Thus, the room became known as the Sweatbox. Even after the Studio moved to Burbank and elegant screening rooms were offered to the staff, the moniker remained.
Now SGT has a sweatbox of our own. This is the place to find and post all entertaining topics such as video links, jokes, games, and the like. A general rule of thumb is that if the thread is meant to be informative (interesting news stories for example), or a topic for discussion (like setting up a park meet) then it should go in the Break Room, but if the intent is to entertain the masses then it's home is The Sweatbox. I'm sure there will be grey areas at times, so if you have doubt as to where a new thread should go, just use your best judgement and the SGT Staff will be glad to move it later if you guessed wrong.

Why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near?
My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

I soooooooooo almost ended up with two more 'rats" tonight. Petsmart had two baby ferrets. They were so tiny and sweet and cute and it breaks my heart that they will probably be split up. Now we normally adopt mistreated ones, but, man, these two were beyond cute.
I will pray to FSM for self control to not either 1) Tom Cruise Mission Impossible in to steal them 2) take my satanic ferret in and leave it and pretend I came with the cute baby one or 3) break down and buy them
(we have 6 ferrets now..they have "ferretville" in our finished basement. They have tubes, sleepy sacks, toys, ramps, ect to run and play. It's a virtual ferret Disneyland down there.)
Hubby put his foot down and said "no" though. He won't get any until 2010.

Another telephone story:
The wife of a friend of my dads used to work as a customer service rep for the local electric company (this was
many many years ago). Anyway, she gets a call from a customer who says, "My power went out."
She replies, "Well sir, I don't have any other reports of outages in your area. Can you tell me what happened?"
SC (stupid customer): "Well, I am putting in an air conditioner. The plug on the air conditioner has three prongs,
and the outlet that I want to plug it into only has two. So I got out my drill, and was drilling a third hole,
and the power went out."
