If you're a decent human being I'll wish very strongly for that not to happen to you.

On a futher note, every code m you touch is another 7 years of good luck, i'm up to 30 years! I think i want a hotel job, stupid people make me happy, i'll injur myself and see if they'll put me on transitional work at front desk.
i had a book shift the other day... and i was on the tinkerbell-e... and, oh my goodness, it was a total code m boat! every trip i took for the 2 hours in between parades had at least one mullet on it (if not a family of mullets). it was awesome.

Plus, just to warn you - you'll end up having to do a
ton more training if you went front desk. Not sure how it works at DLR, but at WDW it consists of 15 days of training: a full week at Disney University followed by 2 weeks of on-the-job training....

Hmmm....maybe I can move to the left coast and transfer to the Grand Californian. :D: By far the most amazing Disney resort hotel that I've seen and stayed at (though haven't yet been to Tokyo DLR and obviously not Hong Kong DLR yet)

DLR can put you in laundry or as a paper shredder. Careful what you wish for GMC. Transitional work blows!!!

regaurdless of what the transitional work is, somebody has to do it, granted i wouldn't want three weeks of shredding paper, i really don't mind odds and ends jobs, and the more i get ot argue the better, as long as i get a chair. I don't think Phone Room at City hall would be so bad either, i think i've expressed before that every cast member should have a week, or a day or two, where they do a different line of bussiness, or even do somethign in a different part of the park.
I have heard terrible things about training for front desk, but that might eventually be the type of job i want, like i siad though, as long as i get a chair.
No matter how crap your job is, just remind yourself, that in even some seemingly insignificant sort of way, you've helped make the magic, unless you don't work for disney, then you don't count (jk yes you do, without your role in the economy, there would be no disney!)

Totally agree with you GMC! I'm not landlocked & do work both parks. I learn so much which benefits me & our guests! Most CMs will not crossover. They aren't given the opportunity or/& they like their comfort zone. Can't blame them for wanting comfort @ DLR. GMC, set your sights on a managers position. You'll get a chair ]

I think I have only seen my manager sitting in his office...once (And that was for my meeting). Once at tower at Mansion (he had bumped someone out so they could talk to the lead). So a total of twice. Attractions managers are more out and about then anything.
