and I have never seen one of them ruined.
But just try sending one to the cleaners...

Actually, if you leave any animal like horses, etc., out in bad weather with no shelter long enough, they begin to get a condition called rain rot--their skin actually begins to break down from exposure to the elements. Animals naturally seek shelter in inclement weather, so that's why you don't see them with rain rot on their skin in the wild. Learned that one from Animal Cops.

A statement which might make Red Dwarf fans recall the following exchange:
Holly: We're a bit short on a few supplies.
Lister: Like what?
Holly: Cow's milk. Ran out of that yonks ago. Fresh and dehydrated.
Lister: What kind of milk are we using now?
Holly: Emergency back-up supply. We're on the dog's milk.
Lister [staring at his cup of tea, swallows]: Dog's milk?!
Holly: Nothing wrong with dog's milk. Full of goodness, full of vitamins, full of marrowbone jelly. Lasts longer than any other type of milk, dog's milk.
Lister: Why?
Holly: No bugger'll drink it.

One day while waiting for my sister to come off of Big Thunder Mountain RR. I saw this male cast member stick and empty box from inside his frozen lemonade under his cart. I flagged down a cast member and let them know it looked out of place.
Also I do like to roam around the parks for eye sores. This is what I call a messy location and I make mental notes that Disneyland is not a city dump. Why can't we train the SG's to clean up after they drop something. I wonder if their house is a major mess and they need to add their mess to Disneyland's cleaned parks.
But, last year my friend from GA and I went into the rest rooms in MK's Fantasyland. There was a toilet paper cover and toilet paper city on the floor. I did not see any costodial crews in there checking this rest room. I hope to see some improvement by Sept. 2008

Sounds like Disney should implement the Marriott stoop.

Better we should be allowed to implement the Irish Shillelagh!

Yeah, at Knott's they used to drum into our heads to pick up litter and not just leave it to custodial. Management made a big show about being seen picking up litter. Weirdest litter I ever saw was a dollar bill that had been used as a baby wipe! COnsidering the rate of pay at Knott's, ya wanna know what happened to that dollar, or not? ;)

Oh, the mention of dog's milk made me remember something. Many years ago, we inherited a Pharoah Hound bitch from my older sister. Since my sister was terminally ill (though we didn't know this until later), she wanted to own a Pharoah anyway. She didn't have enough money for the full price, so she worked out an agreement with the breeder; the dog would get bred and the breeder would get two picks of the litter. I helped deliver all but the first and last ones; there were nine--a big litter for a Pharoah--with one still birth. Two girls and seven boys--the stillbirth was a boy. Anyway, my oldest nephew, then 4 years old, watched the mother nurse her pups, and told my sister--his mom--that he knew how to get alot of money. He said he was going to get a bunch of dogs lined up, milk them, and sell the milk! :hysteria:

Did he, by chance, watch "Meet the Parents"?

We have what's called the "Disney Scoop". Gets sorta drilled into you after a while, so much so you find yourself picking up trash when you're playing in the parks. You get so good at it you can stoop down and pick up trash with very little interruption to your walking. A number of managers and some other CMs who are out and about a lot carry grappers with them which they use to pick up trash without having to bend down or touch it with their bare hands.
I've also seen table tents and the like with tips on how to keep your area clean and how "everybody's a custodian". We're told to call custodial for big messes, anything that might be hazardous to pick up, and anything containing bodily fluids but to pick up normal trash like maps and all.
