Basics isn't a class, "Basics" are gym uniforms that entertainment performers wear when in training mode.

Oh yeah, that video was Hilarious - so hard to take it situations seriously.

Well, the class I took after I was hired was class was called Traditions. Maybe that's the one you are thinking of.

Actually, What I'm talking about is a training class called "the basics" . It is a 3 hour class that has been given to most CM's on how to be providing "Disney Class" service to our guests. In actuality, it's a joke as if you need that class, you should not be working for Disney. If you should not be working for Disney, you will not pay attention to anything said in that class.

Big Wallaby can fill you in also if you wish. He went to it too.

It's completely different from Traditions.

I agree with Cranbiz on the Basics. Can't say it better. If it has to be trained into you, you're not Disney material. I'll never forget one guy who said his best moment was when he saw the RTS for the first time, and it all went downhill from there.

I see entertainment people all the time in their basics. So if you are at Pride Rock and you see a bunch of Safari drivers, come over, make a comment about marsupials and if I am there I will perk up.

Well, I'm training at Epcot tomorrow so I dunno when I'll be at Pride Rock for lunch again. But I'll be sure to look for some safari fellas the next time I'm there. CMGuy, any chance on running into you?

I don't think CMGuy is going to be here anytime soon. I spoke to his roommate yesterday, and he's literally working 0600 - 0000 shifts. Nice on the pocketbook, but painful.

Hey folks I am in fact alive. I work today from 11:15-9:45 but I may try to ER for 7:45, as I don't really want to work at KIDCOT in the evening. My feet are really feeling that 16 hour day on New Year's...come by and see me! Mention something about a CM from Texas and they should be able to help you.
