Coffee will prevent said curdling. Obviously coffee has no magical anti-curdling properties nor will the milk curdle after being drunk.
. Oh and my favorite, walking barefoot on a cold floor will give you pneumonia.
They weren't from any latin country!
I THINK it was Lithuana. By I also remember my grandmother talking about that!
but this was also then then got up, not going to sleep.
I know a lot of the farm kids drank coffee, probably since they were 9 or 10, but then again, back then it was not uncommon for them to work the family farms during harvest, and make up school later.

My grandmother told us stories of her and her siblings having home made donuts and black coffee for breakfast when she was growing up. I believe she was German, but lived in Poland for a while.

My breakfast (and my classmates) was always coffee with milk and some saltines or toast. Or if it was really cold out we'd have hot cereal. I've gotten used to eating a better breakfast but sheesh Mom. Way to send me to school hopped up on caffeine only to crash later.

No wonder my grades in primary school were so terrible!

I met someone in Monorails today who just returned from serving us and our Country in Afghanistan today. He was talking about foods there, and how camel milk doesn't need to be refrigerated. I don't know about you, but milk that doesn't need to be refrigerated kinda scares me.

My boyfriend said the same thing about camel milk. He and my brother had a good laugh about eating monkey brains in Okinawa. Gotta love Marines. Except my dear love is now applying for jobs back in Iraq/Kuwait/Afghanistan. Just can't take the fight out of him :)

You never had sterilized milk?
We used to get that when we were at sea for long periods.

We used to use beer, but it was the american stuff that had formaldehyde in it, and only on shore. Gatorade had not been invented yet, and the coke was usually really warm!
Thats when I started eating eggs and bacon for breakfast!!
with ice cold beer!!!
