He asked the SG to please speak quietly several times, to which the SG started arguing with the Tram guide, so pretty soon, here comes security with Jeeps to take SG and his family off the ride- SG starts to complain, "We can't leave, we need our wheelchairs". I think security didn't want to deal with these "Handicapped" people possibly dropping on them, so they allowed the tram to continue....
Once you give that tram tour guide a hard time like that, I believe it's time to extend to you exactly no courtesy. That tour guide has worked hard to learn that spiel and how to deliver it well, and so I say that those people should have been pulled off the tram. No wheel chair? Tough. What would they have done during an evac? They can sit and be babysat by security while someone goes and grabs them a wheel chair. If that takes until the park closes, tough. They should have played nice.

The key is to let it out immediately. It's something I learned to do with guests in a nice way, even, depending on the situation. In buses, if I had a guest that got mad at me or got abusive for something, usually, ten others would come up and tell me how stupid that one was. Other times, the guests were shocked to see me treated this way, to a point of speechlessness. As long as you are giving your guests a good time, often the ones that give you a hard time will become the laughing stock of other guests. I wouldn't worry too much about it. When one guest gets nasty and another immediately rebrightens your day, all is good.

If DisneyMom does do something stupid in front of Susi, please keep driving the other guests until they can no longer hear the screams. :D:
Agreed.

Oh, yes... in other news today, I am testing out. Wish me luck.

Good luck, fellow marsupial!! :D:

Just out of curiosity, if you're driving when my family and I are there in a couple of weeks, is there a way at load to get on your truck, or are we stuck with the luck of the draw?

Just draw up a contract to hand to the CM that states you will be riding with BW, and then throw out a bunch of legalese and confuse him. Then start singing, then he might think you are a GAC holder and he better just do as you say before you go crazy in line.

Yes! You can request me.

Well, I had my test out today, and the manager who tested me thought it was a great show. I am now a full-fledged, real Disney Safari Game Driver. Woohoo!

Wonderful change. People here are so much more positive about life and working for Disney, they are forward thinking, many have degrees in various life sciences/veterinary care, etc..., traffic jams consist of a rhino (or other animal) blocking the road, my coworkers are all about having a good time at work, I work bankers' hours, I wear a headset microphone, I actually know how to find a manager quickly, and it's a position all about guest show. Perfect position for me!

Congrats, my friend!

Talking about rhino traffic jams, I remember riding the Safari back in 2003 and a rhino hit the truck with his horn. I guess the truck stopped to close for his liking. He moved on a very little later and both he and the truck went their separate ways. I also remember on that trip seeing an elephant standing on an overpass used by maintenance vehicles. I don't recall if that was on the safari trip as the rhino or another one, we rode it a number of times.
