If the snow is white, It's alright

We have actually had pretty high temps the last few days, 40's and 50's, BUT it IS Winter in the Rockies and guess what? More snow predicted for this weekend...Not surprised. The last 3 storms worth have not melted off yet. How can they when the temps at night are 7 degrees and the datimes highs have been in the 20's and 30's til the last couple days? The only thing white I want to see on the ground is the white sand on the Gulf beaches in Florida! ;)

We've had some pretty low temps the last few days, low 70's and high 60's. We had to close the exterior doors at night. :D:

As we still had water we didn't notice until I headed next door to get some lunch a little after 3 this afternoon and saw it squirting water. I turned off the water before leaving work this evening so it wouldn't continue being wasted. The store manager is going to have call a plumber in the morning to get it fixed. The annoying thing is that the backflow burst and had to be replaced less than a year ago.

Yesterday we had a rush on antifreeze. People getting their cars ready for the cold snap bought up pretty much all of it. We ran completely out of our full strength store-brand (Valucraft) and nearly so on full strength Peak. We have some Prestone full strength left but not much. We got some Peak in from our hub store today but most of it went fast. We have plenty of 50/50 antifreeze but the majority of customers want the full strength.
I always hate paying for water in the premixed stuff. That's why I always buy the full strength stuff.

Assuming the weather bar I have for Firefox is accurate (uses AccuWeather I believe), it is 37 degrees F right now. It is almost 9 am and the temperature is barely above freezing. This is part of the reason I want to move to the Orlando area, it gets to cold for me around here.
I got a flash for you, It's been that cold here in Orlando the last couple of nights. I worked PI Wednesday night and was on the bike. It was 38 and a wind chill of 20. Now factor in 70mph and purple polyester pants with an hour ride at 3:15am

That equals one very very cold Cranbiz! It took me until 8am to warm up and then I needed to get up to go to my day job.

Deltona eh? My dad rides his bike there pretty regular says there is a great spot for b'fast.

The weather.gov folks have warnings out for this area telling people that the ice wont support their weight or that of pets DUH

Though I do recall 5 years ago when the Potomac froze over enough folks were out walking on it all the way down to the Memorial bridge THAT was cold when tidal river area freezes solid

I remember being laughed at when it got down to 55 degrees in Pearl City and I had to wear socks to bed because my feet were so cold.
