Syndrome wrote:This reminds me of the time Mr. Syndrome and I visited Camp Snoopy at Mall of America. It was in the first year or two that it was open. They have a log ride, and everybody we talked to who had ridden it said, "Oh, you don't get wet at all." We never say anyone come out the exit wet either. So we get on the ride, and I don't know the physics involved, but Mr. Syndrome got soaked!! The ride operator was gaping at him in shock, and as we walked around, people kept looking at my drowned-rat spouse and saying, "But you don't get wet on that ride."
Sounds like my friend on Maelstrom back in June.

There were 5 or 6 of us in the boat, none of us were overly large people, and I think the weight in the boat was fairly evenly distributed. We came down the drop into the North Sea, and this HUGE splash came up over the front-left side and drenched my friend sitting in the front seat from the stomach down.

I don't know if it was just sheer random timing of the wind and splash effects plus our boat's own splash, but we got off and multiple people (including a few locals in our group, the CM at unload and a CM in the gift shop) all said that they'd NEVER seen anyone get that wet on Maelstrom before...

I got a new one the other day. Had a SG come up to me and ask "How do I get the the Marriott?" Guess that seems like a pretty innocent question so I asked which Marriott they were talking about "Oh you know the Marriott." Finally the guy realizes that Orlando has more than one Marriott so he changes his question to "How do I get to the Marriott Residence Inn?" :banghead:
