Why can't we make them all go away? :kaboom:

I agree!! And please let Disney start banning these idiots for one or two years, or even longer!!! for pulling this stupid stuff. I know several times people have said that Disney reads this board from time to time, please let them start to get the Idea that banning stoopid people would actually increase the "magic" by not having SG's taking up the time of CM's for really dumb stuff, or possibly trying to commit a fraud on them for tickets, merchandise, and so on!!

It had been windy and rainy off and on most of the day, and the fireworks had just been officially canceled for that night. There was a guest at the counter that was demanding a refund because they "had been waiting all day just to see the fireworks"...they also used the "we came all the way from X, just to see the fireworks" line. I wish I could have stuck around, but I wouldn't have been able to keep my laughter in for long.
I think Disney should have someone "film" the fireworks show and burn it to a DVD. Then when the guest talks about waiting all day, and thats the ONLY reason they came to the park, have the CM just say, "We can't do it for safety reasons, but here is what it looks like", and hand them the disc!!

And then point them to the main Exit!!

Okay, earlier in this thread, someone said something about front of the line passes. Over at the KBFDrama site, I understand Knott's has them, but 1.) they're expensive, and 2.) they're good for only one ride. Who's ripping who off now?

BTW,did anyone check out the latest on Knott's on ThemeParkInsider? They had a woman with a disabled kid who couldn't get on any rides, and management blatently told her that they didn't want HC's in the park anymore! But as someone who has worked for Knott's, I can tell you that they manage to get around more laws than you can shake a stick at. When the state of California passed a law saying park security must have state guard cards, Knott's pulled all the Security patches off the uniforms and put Safety patches on in their place!

First Knott's shoots themselves in the foot by mistreating their people to the point that they have to pull people from Custodial and other areas to operate the rides, they now are shooting themselves in the balls by violating ADA laws! How many more laws do they think they can break before the park gets shut down permanently? I for one would love to see those management shits in prison--especially if they're in general population and the rumor goes around they're in for child molestation!

LOL! I love it! The canceled fireworks reached an all time peak of stupidity last summer when we had to cancel due to wind. We, of course, had to explain that just because it doesn't FEEL very windy at ground level doesn't mean it's not a very different story at the high altitude the fireworks go off at. We had a line OUT the door and ALL THE WAY TO THE EMPORIUM doors of people to feed this line to unsuccessfully. So right when the line starts to get a bit more manageable and we think we're moving towards the end

...in comes the damn baseball stadium...

Yep - the Angels had THEIR fireworks 2 blocks away. The people in City Hall FLIPPED OUT. Why is it not too windy at the BASEBALL STADIUM?>>!#!!?!? It got to a point where it was so bad, we started telling them the truth - that if the fireworks from the big A go haywire in the wind, they land on the freeway and burn out. If ours go haywire, we burn down a residential neighborhood and we kill a small child or a cute dog. There was no assuaging them. From that moment, every guest who walked into City Hall was immediately handed an after 4 ticket we had started printing in bulk. No questions asked, here's a comp. Excuse me while I go hang myself on Walt's balcony.

The Mayor does not care that the fireworks could burn down the park. Some of them buildings are nearly 50 years old. If I remember right DLR has had a few small fires due to fireworks.

GJ, that's like me... eventually, so I don't make even worse show, if people keep standing up and won't sit down, I'll say, "This is my last time saying it. Everyone needs to remain seated. The sides of the truck are not made to hold you in if you are standing and start to fall out of the truck, and if you fall out I am not sticking around to see what happens. These are wild animals. So with that thought, on with the show, eh? So, we just passed the..."

My opinions are mine and mine only. If my opinions are the opinion of others who happen to share whatever my crazy views may be, then fine, but it's not because I represent them in having my opinions. Got it?

LMMEO....that is good BW

In other words, sit your fat asses down or I will make a sharp turn so you fall off the truck and I will laugh when the lions have you for lunch.

Would that be considered "added magic" to see an SG "dine" with lions?? Heck I would PAY extra to see that!!

Of course the problem is, the SG's probably STILL think that they are not REAL animals!

pattimelt wrote:I had a winner the other day. Family of 6 went into the park at 930am and it was now almost 5pm. They wanted a refund because they didn't like the lines at the park. Mind you, this was last SATURDAY, and to be honest, it wasn't that busy!! We told him that we were sorry, but if you had said something within the first couple hours, we MIGHT have done something for you, but now that you've spent almost the entire day at the park, we weren't going to give you a refund. He was doing well and good and handling it well, we thought, until he asked for our lead, and totally lost it in front of all of us--and proceeded to tell us-- "They gave us a refund the LAST TIME WE DID THIS, AND WE WERE IN THE PARK LONGER THAN TODAY!!!!

Lead says well, that was then, and this is now, and I'm not going to give you a refund!!!! and sends him on his way.

I wish there was a way for us to put notes on tickets so that when this guest complained to guest communications they would see the notes and what this guest wanted from us and deny him any more comps..
Oh, common, where am I when stuff like this happens? I seem to miss all the fun stuff in the booths. Though I have gotten a few fun ones my self.

The other day, some woman comes up to one of the windows wanting to know how we refund APs. Well, turns out her son was kicked outta the park and his AP taken. And they have had them for 6 months. Sorry lady, you got your fair use out of the pass.

I feel sorry for some of the leads. The weird demands that people make and they have to sit and take them. And here I am wanting to be a lead some day... The fun I get to look forward to.

LOL, I love it. I had a guy wanting us to refund his APs in the lobby the other day because the only reason they bring their kids is to ride Small World. It took everything I had not to laugh at him for even asking.
