Caught the Thursday afternoon rehearsal. Unfortunatly the late start and my schedule forced me to be anti-social. I had to be out of Philly by three o clock.

I did stay for the whole rehearsal and saw the Women of Vocal Majority do their number. You can probably see me in pics of their entrance.
I was in the back right corner of the audience, in front of the door they came in. SGT cap and a dark grey polo with Marvin Martian.

I can't make tomorrow but you all sounded great and GO GET GOLD !!!

Hey all! Sorry I missed updating yesterday. Got into Philly safely yesterday pm, and have been busy with rehearsals since.

I thought it was in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Did it move or it it a different group from SPEBSQSA??

Same group, new digs. SPEBSQSA is still the official name (Society for the Preservation of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America), but adopted the d/b/a of Barbershop Harmony Society about 6 or 7 yrs ago. And the HQ moved from Kenosha to Nashville in 2008.

How was DC? Did you go to the Smithsonian? Some monuments? You know Pictures MUST be Taken... can't wait to see the Philly Trip Report. :D

Our tour of DC was a driving one -- we spent about 45 min driving around the Mall, then headed on. And sorry, no real trip report this time, though I may share more details after I get home.

***Went and saw Wombat and the VM last night. Absolutely wonderful! The talent those guys have is amazing! It was very enjoyable and I hope they bring home gold.

Thanks! Sorry I missed you. You caught us on the "downhill," so you didn't get the full contest set - sorry! Thanks for coming and cheering us on though. Maybe I'll get back up this way and get to meet you someday!

Well, all the rehearsals are over! We hit the risers at 7 am for warmup, then we're into the "contest pipeline" with an estimated onstage time of 10:45. Then (like last year) we wait until the end of the contest in the evening to get the results. Hopefully I'll be back on tomorrow night to report the outcome!
