Ah Hobie, I just got around to catching up on SGT business. So sorry to hear about The Scoop. I know those Bufo toads can be poisonous to dogs, but I'm actually relieved to hear it might have been snail bait instead. At least you can control what kind you use or where you put it (assuming you have a fenced yard). The toads could be anywhere.

Hope Scooter has a complete recovery and suffers no long-term adverse effects. I'm sure you're looking forward to having your little foot warmer back in bed, especially during those upcoming cool winter evenings on Maui.

I wish I'd known about the vinegar trick. We probably could have reduced the amount of toxins in her and everything that followed.

I recently spent several thousand dollars on vet bills for one of my cats who was having severe kidney issues. Fortunately, she made it through okay. I know what an ordeal it can be and I'm glad things seem to be looking up.
Thank you very much. My wife and I are good. If you can focus on Scooter that would be great.

In the grand scheme of things the doc said the toad toxin would have been better to get into than snail bait. Both suck but the bait sucks worse. Just our luck.

I do need my little foot warmer back. It's still too warm to have a blanket on the bed and the overnight temps are starting to dip into the high 60s. Brrrrrrrrrrr.

Glad to hear your best buddy is doing good. I know that when the grumpy pups get ill, it takes priorty over everything else.

although we havn't had to deal with the frogs or snail bait thing, it still can cause a lot of anguish.

hope he is back to barking and running around soon!

Scooter is home.

We went to see her this afternoon. The doc had just gotten the latest blood test results back and was satisfied she is improving. She's on a strict diet and we have to record everything she takes in and collect her stool for analysis.

The Scooter is happy to be home but not half as much as we are. We'll take her in tomorrow for another blood draw. I suspect she'll be getting tested for a while but I really don't care. I've got my little buddy home.

Thank you all again for your support. You are the best!
