Stupid Guest Tricks

I've never understood how anybody could mistreat an animal, especially a pet.

I miss being owned by a cat but I can't afford to properly take care of one, especially giving one the proper medical care like regular checkups.

See - you are a conscientious pet owner, knowing that you are not currently in a position to take proper care of a pet (or have it take care of you). Good for you!

Our cats are our kids, so we spare NO expense to care for them. They are our life. Tawny just had the radioactive iodine treatment for thyroid problems while we were on vacation and that was 1200 bucks. We spend more on our pets than anything else. Our trips to DL and WDW are the most expensive thing we spend on ourselves. :p:

And boarding them and the two birds for 8 days was not cheap either. Kennel costs are outrageous, but they board in a hospital, so if anything happenswhile we are gone, they can get treatment quickly as possible. The two parrots board at a Avian Veterinary Hospital designed for bird medicine and the two cats go to Alameda East, the hospital that is on that Animal Planet show, "Emergency Vets"We are ambassadors now which means we get discounts for care because we have spent so much money there and they get you that status when you have spent many thousands of dollars. Orion had 4 giant files there...

I could not bear to see any animal suffer so we take care of them with everything we have to give. They are fortunate animals to be in our house where we can afford any treatment that is available and would do any treatment to save our babies. We feel like any parent who would do anything to save their child! I just love all animals and when you take responsibility for them, you need to do what you can within your own limits and that is the best anyone can do.

We are thinking of adding two more KITTENS to the menagerie. Kitten energy would change the house and bring some laughter and life back into it after all the sadness of losing our boy. :( We are still in the *considering it* stage. Maybe after our Jan DL trip and then we will have a little more time to spend acclimating them to the family! I would only hope for two rambunctious kittens who could put Tinkerbell in her place, otherwise I am sending Tinkerbell to Big Wallaby! LOL! Let him deal with the little terrorist! ;)
Not really, she loves her daddy so much and would cry if she had to leave Raffle. She does not care one way or the other about me, she likes her grandpa (my dad) and loves her daddy more than anything except beating up the other cats! Two kittens could tag team her! :twisted: LOL!

Oh yes susi - you need kittens to renew your spirit and give you new life. They would be fairly easy to move to Florida with you, too.

Our Tiki cat is like your Tinkerbell - she loves her Daddy and can barely tolerate me, and I'm the one who rescued her! But I'm also the first person she saw in her new life after the previous owner dropped her off at the vet for spaying and shots. When I picked her up I think she associated me with the pain and scariness. She'll let me pet her only on her terms, and she'll hiss at me if I try to pick her up, but she will climb on Steve's lap or chest and wrap her little paws around his neck and purr loudly and refuse to be displaced.

That is sad, but at least he was treated like the king he was for the last two weeks of his life. :) And VERY much loved. We all will go sometime and if you have to go, at least he got treated with respect, kindness and true love. :) And he is now waiting on the Rainbow Bridge to greet all of you who loved him in his life. He is patient and can wait until it is your turn to come to where he is...True love prevails beyond death... :)

These creatures really touch our lives, don't they? I can never understand how anyone could hurt an animal. It is unfathomable to my mind because I have such a BIG love for animals. I don't get it. States need to make very stern laws regarding animal cruelty. In many states, it is still a misdemeanor. Many states are finally stepping up and making it a felony and people are doing time, ala Michael Vick. It needs to be a very harsh punishment for hurting or killing a creature that cannot defend itself against the brutality of the human animal. That is what we need to fight for, stricter laws prosecuting those who would hurt an animal. :mad:

Oh, how funny...That is our Tinkerbell all the way. I am the one who found her and begged to bring her home and now she loves her daddy, not me. She will tolerate me for a while, then bite me to get away. She bites all the time. And squalls like I am am hurting her or something when I hold her and then Raffle comes in to find out what is wrong with the cat and she runs to him. Little bitch! :twisted: heeheehee They really know how to play ya, huh?

And yes kittens could move very easily to Florida with us! :D: I want to move today!!!!!!! If only we could. We will know in a few weeks if we can move to Florida to even just rent for awhile while this house sits on the market.... Oh please, let it be so....

Donnie lets one loose....OH GOD THE SMELL. Luckily I was sitting next to the cabinet that holds my air freshener and grabbed that. I even sprayed his backside since he was laying on his stomach. LOL I still had it out and I just knew he was going to do it again (the lifting of one leg was a big clue--why do some ppl do that?) so I started spraying before he even started making pooting noises. At least it didnt smell quite so bad, but the smell of that and cinnamon apple together was extremely interesting to say the least.

Its a guy thing!!!!! Just look at the one of the funniest scenes in "Blazing saddles!!

I agree! I've had to have a place on my finger lanced before and it hurt like hell, It has to hurt so much more down there. No way I'd let anybody anywhere near "that" area without first doping me up.
