I'm disabled too, Churchy. Please feel free to share the story elsewhere if you think it'll help anybody :)
Sooz, I know I owe you a big honkin pm. Sorry for that, please be patient with me it's been a long week with a weather system that is killing my joints.
Thanks everybody, you made me smile this afternoon, you all make magic for me every day and you don't even know it :)

Okay, so when we checked in...[cut for space] ...one that she will remember for awhile or if somebody is mean to her. We appreciated her very much

Good story! Honestly, it'd be better if you added some special effects, you know, like explosions, lasers and Big Wallaby sprinkling snow from the rafters, but I suppose it's pretty good as an independent story without the big Hollywood budget. ;)

Yea, but then we would have to rope off the post, and then there might be SGs that are trying to cut under the rope just before the fireworks start, or between parade floats, or something.

And yelling at you for "ruining the magic" when you won't let them!

I ventured into Fruity Drink Land for lunch today and something brought back this Create The Magic experience. We decided to try the Tiki Room one afternoon when the heat was rising. The room had maybe twenty people inside so we sat in the front row.
Just after we sat down a family with a baby and a boy about a year old came in and sat in the section next to us. The little boy immediately started pointing at one of the main characters so his mom picked him up for a closer look. He wanted that bird!
The CM announced the start of the show, the lights dimmed and off they went. The little boy stood transfixed the entire time. Every time a new show element started up, he was right there with them. We enjoyed watching him so much we had to go back later to see the show.

Until the conversation turned to me and special effects, I was reading MCP's posts, thinking to myself how great it is that that is a normal part of the day. That what is magical to our guests is the status quo to us... or at least, should be. Of course, on the same note, you have to present it in such way that it does not seem to the guest to be just another day at the Magic Kingdom.
MCP, did you ever get a name of the CM you gave the Pixie Dust pin to?

This trip it was so fun to watch her as a pre-teen making a fuss over the younger princesses. Every single one she saw she would greet them by their proper 'princess' name and then ask where their coach/sebastian/prince was LOL whatever applied. The look that was most priceless was on the faces of the other parents, seeing one child create magic for another.
Your daughter sounds like a very special person...a Disney CM in the making..hmmmmmm? :D:

I have a similar story to MCPs. Durring my recent WDW stay (just back to work tonight) I was given a pair of these pins (no need to go into that story). I am not a pin collector so I held onto both pins for just the right moment. A couple of nights later I was talking to a family in the next campsite and found this was their first visit. Durring the conversation I discovered that the two young girls liked looking at the pin traders lanyards but were disappointed that they didn't have anything to begin trading with. So I promptly pulled the two pins from my pocket and handed one to each girl. They were literally jumping up and down with glee. When they went to the Halloween party later that night they insisted that they HAD to have the pins on their costumes.
Sometimes its easy to make magic just by being in the right place, at the right time, with the right props. :D:

BTW, BW, I searched for you all over the place but never found anyone who could point you out to me. I did hear from one of my neighbors that a driver (that I assume was you) was looking for someone with my camping setup the day before I arrived. Sorry to have missed you.
