Whazzup wrote:We bought a small inexpensive camera at a yard sale that takes panoramic photos with regular 35mm film, and when developed they are loooonnnnggg and about 5" tall. It's great for scenic shots. Got some great pictures of Mt St Helens from one of the ranger stations, the Oregon coastline (beautiful!) and other scenic areas. The quality is nothing like what a good quality camera will do, but hey, the camera only cost a coupld bucks so who's complaining?
Stores on Maui use to sell disposable cameras that took panoramic shots. I wish they still did as they were pretty cool and the quality was good.

I take a couple of days away from the forums and all goes to hell.

Anyway, Congrats Sarah. I had faith in you.

Let us know when Traditions is scheduled for you, I'll try to be driving the cast shuttle that day at MK.

Yeah, Cranbiz, you should have been here to help keep the peace.
By the way, next time we're at WDW I definitely want to look you up and say howdy and give you a hug. I'm tired of all those other bus drivers impersonating you and bursting my bubble when I hop on a bus hoping to meet Cranbiz and it's some goofer who won't even smile or say hello. :(

My Traditions is this Friday at 7:30 AM. So, I will be riding a shuttle for this?

It depends on how they told you to come in. Most likely not but if you were going to be there while I was working, We could have met up.

I only work Wed night and weekends, so we will have to meet some other time.

Good luck (try to stay awake)

I do have a couple of programs that can automate the process to a point, but not all panos work on all programs and some don't work on any. The later case requires me to paste and blend them together manually (that can take months per pano). Even with automation many of the panos took 2 hours or more of computer time (with a duo processor computer) to put together.

But I do have some really nice panos. I still need to find out if my flickr account can handle these panos (some are absolutely HUGE). But I do hope to get them posted sometime soon. Maybe after the xmas crunch.

I did it with a couple, just goofing around, but it did take a lot of time, I wish I could use the computer at work, but they are off limits to outside work!

DW and I both have used photography for a number of years, hers is the artsy stufff, mine is a more..practical type. but its fun when you have the time!!
