Stupid pin traders who give us the crappy, cheap ass TEN CENT Sedesma (Spain) pins ALL THE TIME and get a $6.00+ pin from us.
Stupid pin traders who see a pin on my KID LANYARD and then proceed to grab any random kid and try to get the pin from me and then get mad when I refuse to give it to them.
My new thing is if I have any of those damn Lanyard pins I trade out with the other greeters' pads before rope drop, because the last thing I need with opening rush is to add Obnoxious lanyard pin hound traders stalking me all morning! Can I see your pins nonstop while I am talking to other guests or measuring a kid, or they just stand near and hover around me like a fly looking at my lanyard (But I do love walking all over the entrance rotunda making them chase me for a few minutes before I show the the 12 pieces of crap (usually Sedesma) on my lanyard....private happiness for me)

That's part of the reason I'm glad that I only wore one pin the entire time I was at Disney. That was my trainer's pin, and one time a manager tried to make me trade that one with a guest. I wanted to kill that manager because that pin can only be earned, but those idiots will try anything to get one.

you have my condolenses for the pin traders... i pin trade, but i'm not like all the others... i do most of my trading with cast members or with a couple people i'm friends with... and i know the hell those bloody lanyard series pins cause you, and how the pin traders hound the lanyards for as many as they can get! i have a couple, but only the ones that fall into my pre-existing collections, there has been many a time when the cast member asks which lanyard pins i want cuz they have like 4 and i say none, they just don't impress me that much... so i feel for you guys! i will continue to ask politely and wait for you to finish what you are doing first before even expecting to see your lanyard, and i will always say please and thank you! i hope my better bahavior will show that not all pin traders are rude

Wow, I had no idea the pin trading caused such headaches. My littler kids got really into it in August, and LOVED talking with the different cast members while arranging their trades. They made some good trades (for better pins) but made many bad trades (getting little beat-up trashed pins). But they had so much excitement doing it that I left their choices up to them. I pretty much thought that Disney CMs liked kids, and it gave them interaction with guests' children. Oops!
BTW, when we go to WDW we are GAC users (2 adult, 4 kid). We have encountered many VERY helpful and polite CMs. Thanks for that! (There have been, definitely, rude CMs too, but the nice, friendly, and helpful who did not roll their eyes at our non-visible disabilities really made WDW trips possible for us!)

Actually, it's not the kids trading pins that annoy CMs, it's the adults who get way to into the pin trading. In fact, if I have to wear a pin lanyard, I try really hard to get a kids only one, that way I don't have to deal with the adults.

Yes, we do love kids! 98% of them know what they are doing, listen to CMs and wait until you're done talking with a Guests before asking a question or pin trading. In fact if we could just let the kids in it would be a better place some times. It is the adults that are rude, idiotic, and nasty and need to take lessons from their kids. Another pet peeve is people generalizing, remember we are discussing cerain individuals not all of our Guests, and some of us CMs do not like being accused of hating children, tread your waters carefully.

I liked the kid lanyard because the green went so well with the rest of my technicolor costume. *grin* That, and the kids actually want to -TRADE- pins not merely pass off cheapo ones in trade for nifty lanyard pins. Before I went green I had so many guests get peeved when I'd state a preference for a particular pin trade, or even, (heaven forbid)

refuse to trade for a pin that I already had -TWO- of on my lanyard.

As a guest my pet peeve is people who pretend they do not understand how a line works, even after I tell them...
Also when the loader tells a group what row to go wait in and they don't.

I prefer the kid pin traders over the adults.
