Do you recommend republican or democrat as having the better sign material?

Back to the trip...As I said we had purchased some goodies from Candy Palace when I saw HIM! He was working behind the counter and I could not believe my eyes. It couldn;t be...he was dead! I asked him to pose for a picture with me and he so graciously posed for a couple. Do you see who I see?

Wow! The spirit of Walt really DOES live on in Disneyland. This CM's name is Don and he is the spitting image of Walt! It is amazing how much he resembles Walt and I just had to have a picture taken with him! Do you see the resemblance?
He made my day. It was as if Walt was standing right there, in front of us! Incredible!
After we left the Candy Palace it was getting to be late afternoon and we headed back to the Hotel for a nap. We were tired and needed a little rest. And that was it for me for the day. It was about 4PM by then and I fell fast asleep for the rest of the night! I slept until 5AM the next morning!
He does look a lot like Walt. That is amazing.

Wouldn't it be great if he became a tour guide for the "Walk" tour?

Dec. 22nd, Day 3, Second full day at the resort:

As I said, I slept through the night and got some much needed rest! I awoke at 5AM and it dawned on me (pun not intended! ;) ) that I had not heard the Fireworks the night before. Had they gone off, they would have awakened me. They are VERY LOUD at the resort in the Disneyland Hotel. We had heard them the first night. But no, they had not gone off the night before.

The Santa Ana winds were making an appearance that would *ruin* many an SG's vacation, so much so, that it *destroyed the magic for them* the rest of the week, with the exception of Christmas Eve. That was the only other night the Fireworks went off as planned, during our 7 day stay there. And I could swear that I only heard half of the show. But I don't know how that is possible. They would not have shot off the first half with winds and then cancelled the second half, so I may have been dreaming and awoke when they were over. But I still swear that the last sounds that I heard from the fiorworks on Christmas Eve was the rockets from the middle of the show. Maybe a DL CM can tell me if I was dreaming. I know they will sometimes stop the show midway, if the winds come up, so it could be possible.

We were not terribly disappointed though, because we had seen them before and I knew I could always go to youtube to see them again. It would have been fun and magical to see them again live, but we know what the Santa Ana winds can and will do with burning embers.

One only needs to look back on the horrendous fires suffered by Southern Californians this year and past years as well, to see the what the fury and power of these terrible winds can bring to the canyons, hills and valleys of Southern California! We are native Californians, so we are very familiar with them.

I can understand how many were truly disappointed and how much they wanted to see them, but to go to the Concierge CM and tell them, "This ruined my Christmas! I want some compensation!" and to crowd City Hall with lines, back past the Emporium, demanding their money back or some sort of other compensation was way over the top! All one needed to do was to turn the ticket over and read where it says "Subject to change without notice" It is written on the Park Guides the very same. At the bottom of the Park Guide it is clearly printed that everything is subject to change without notice and the Santa Ana winds certainly give one pause to set off fiery rockets high into the air! But I guess I forget that SGs do not read or if they do, they still think they deserve some sort of compensation for NO fireworks!

I felt so bad for all the CMs this past holiday season at DL. The winds never died down and there were few nights with fireworks! To see the Disneyland "Believe in Holiday Magic" fireworks, go this link. If you have not seem them, they are beautiful and the music is lovely.

So we did not see them this trip but I can revisit them at this link or others that many have posted. This is one of the better ones.

Randy
To step back to the day before for a moment...

You know that would be a great idea, Randy! He would make the perfect guide for that tour. He is such a personable and nice man. He truly put a smile on my face! And he really does look like Walt. Photos add a few lbs to people, he was a little thinner in person and that made his face so much more like Walt.

I have to tell you, seeing him at first, was bit eerie and had a WOW factor to it!!! :dropmouth : :D:
When we first saw him behind the counter, I commented to Ralph about how much he reminded me of Walt. Ralph agreed and we struck up a conversation with him. He told us a story about a little girl, aged 10, who had said to her parents, "That man looks like Walt Disney!" Now there are some parents who are raising that girl right! She KNOWS who Walt is and what he looks like. She wanted a picture with *Walt* and when he told me that story, how could I resist asking for a pic of him with me as well.

He could really be put into a show where *Walt speaks* and they could use make-up to really make him look EXACTLY like Walt. Disneyland casting should really look at him for a performing role, even if to put him on a float in a parade to wave at folks on a Walt Disney's Life themed float!

Or they could just make an Audio Animatronic Walt to do the show and talk about his achievements. I am totally for this!
sues* :walt: :bouncemic *slicker

It should boil down to paper or plastic.
