I'm down for Boma, but I'd totally take a pass on Cindy's. I'm not really a fan of buffets, but I hear Boma is fantastic. Cindy's, though, is a character meal for every meal, isn't it? I'm going to be on a little too tight a budget to pay that much extra for a meal where I won't be able to eat much anyway...

I'm also putting in a vote for drinks and deserts and fireworks at Cali Grill one night. My reasoning is that it's not too expensive since people can get whatever they want if we're in the lounge (unlike getting a table and feeling obligated to have a meal there), and we can also have the unique fireworks experience offered by this interesting venue.

So the current vote count is:

2 - Boma
1 - Cindy's
1 - Cali Grill

If you dine at Boma's (one of my favorites, too), allow a little time for them to walk around the lobby and Arusha Rock area, or even the area around the pool. It's such a beautiful and unique resort and they would probably love a quick tour.

An inexpensive option would be to take a leisurely boat ride from the MK or from behind the Toaster over to Fort Wilderness for a meal at the Trails End Buffet. It's one of the better deals on property cost-wise and the food is pretty good, and gives the ladies a chance to relax and enjoy a pleasant boat ride.

If you can't get into CRT, the buffet and character interaction at Crystal Palace in MK is a good alternative, and a lot less expensive.

Sure wish I could be there to meet the ladies.

I'd vote for the CP as well, actually. Maybe make it a bit of a tradition...I enjoyed meeting Zazu and BW for dinner there my first night last September. The food was pretty good, and the characters were enjoyable.

True, they aren't the Princesses, but how can you not love Tigger and Pooh and Piglet and Eyeore?

CP is one of our favorites too. Although a nice family style meal at LTT could work too.

The other nice thing about Boma is if we got there early enough, we could partake in the story telling around the fire pit.

We did that earlier this month when we got to stay at AKV, and it was one of the highlights of our stay. We had a great CM from South Africa who entertained us with a couple stories but also stayed behind to answer personal questions about her homeland and her family and social life and friends and what she did in her spare time, etc. It was very entertaining and enlightening.

I'm another vote for Boma. And I normally buy a DDE Card, which covers times the CM discount can't be used and also covers alcoholic beverages at the sit-down restaurants and all the lounges in the Resorts.

Unless things have changed since I ate there a few years ago there are regular meals, not just character ones.

OK, never been to Boma or CP but we really liked 1900 Park Fare for the Cindy dinner there a few years ago. Not sure if it is the same still (it has re-opened right?) Love, love, love the strawberry soup.
