Technically they are not. ER1 was built first and has a smaller capasity than ER2 which was build a few years later. ER1's supposed max cap is 80 people comfortably, while ER2's max cap is 100 people.

One summer, about 4 years ago, me and another CM were working Foyer and ER1, . We were able to fit 186 people in ER1, not including the me because I was smaller than the other guy. The ER reached the bottom and the doors opened even before the lights went out. It was freakin awesome.

yeah ER1 makes me clausterphobic almost, but ER2 doesn't, if they're the same size, then ER2 is built in a mannor which is more spacious. whatever, i don't know mansion, and i don't foresee knowing it any time soon, and i'm not going to worry about it.

Aww you don't wanna work Mansion with us? I feel so unloved. Both rooms feel the same to me. ER1 is nice because it comes up from the bottom quickly but is squeeks so bad. ER2 feels like it takes forever to get back to the top and you can see the door mechanism for the doors at the bottom....

Yeah... they seem the same size to me too... weird. ER2 is annoying.

Have you had a full ER yet with ER2. You're closing the doors and a guests blots out causing the doors to automatically open. Thus causing the spiel to go off again and you can't go down cause the spiels will over lap...

This happened to me once I was livid. Cause I have to yell and scream to get them to all squeeze inside and this woman was fine then she moved making her back pack trigger the senser and the doors open. I went outside and took a few deep breaths.

Nope, actually I've only done ER2 maybe three or four times and that was near closing.

oh good grief...I worked that ride for years...they both look pretty much the same inside...one looks just as large as the other. And when I was trained in 89, the person (who is still there and one of the most knowledgable in the entire company) never made a distinction in capacity between e.r's. I actually borrowed the old S.O.P. binder that had everything you ever wanted to know about the ride (including max & theoretical capacity) and there was no difference at the time.

Once they started changing things philosophy wise (the guests are there to spend money...) and started telling us to go for max capacity as often as possible we had a lot of times when the doors would open early...

most of the punk kids aren't so bad, and there are many punk kids that work at disney, and post here! ease up. Let them have thier fun, as long as it's safe, they know it's not real, so if they see something they weren't supposed to see as a result of poor behavior, they already had it comming to them.
